We all agree that we should recycle less — at home, in the office or when out and about. But for material to be actually recycled, they first need to find their way to the right waste stream so that they can be then collected and taken to the right place for recycling. This is what the process of sorting allows us to do it.
For effective recycling we need effectively sorting — and this needs to happen first, in our own home and second, in dedicated sorting plants to that waste collected from our doorstep and collecting points is taken. When you put a plastic bottle in the right recycling bag and bin, you are helped sort recyclable waste so that the right material can be fed into the right recycling process. Unless sorting does not happen, a lot of recyclable materials can end up in landfills or be burned, with valuable resources lose from our economy. Sorting at home is first step towards recycling.

Garbage sorting is vitally to our life and environment. For one thing, garbage sorting can help separate the recyclable waste from the rest. To reuse and recycle this kind of waste are to save resources to a large extent, that also contributes to the environmental protection. For another, sorting waste is a meaningful deed.
If everyone takes an action, it can save money and time for a city get rid of waste. Take myself as an example. I used loads of paper every year, so with waste paper packing up, I can sell it and earn some pocket money. Also you can make a contribution to the environmental protections.

Our over-use of electricity is a big problem. It contributed to global warming，what is something that we really should be worried about. It is harming our environment and we need to do what we can stop it. Not only that, but as if we continue to use a same large amount of energy we will soon run out of it. How would we survive in a world with electricity？I think we should start preparing for it now. I’m glad to share some idea about garbage classification with you, which was a hot topic these days all over China. To my understand, we should do whatever we can support it. Many people have recognized the importance of protecting the Yangtze River, a third longest river in the world. And many organizations and projects have been set up to deal with the problem. The Green River organization, for example, which educates people on the importance of protecting this great river. It also watches the river and stops the illegally hunting of animals, which has put the wild animals population in danger.
Two special government projects are also under way. The first project, a water and soil conservation project, set up in 1989. This project resulted in farmers replace their crops with trees or grass. The second project includes nature reserves for white-flag dolphins, the number of which have dropped because of pollution in the Yangtze River.
We still have a long way to go to solve all the problems on regard to the river. However, people have finally realized that this is their responsibility to protect this great river. Our efforts to protect this much loving river will be appreciated for years to come.

Last year, our city called on the citizens to sort and recycle rubbish, but I became a volunteer in my neighbourhood. After dinner, I got to the place that different rubbish should be thrown into different bin. Then came an old lady, carrying a bag of kitchen waste with plastic bottles in them. I helped her pick out of the recyclable bottles with patient. After that, more people came and I show them how to classify the rubbish mixing in their bags. When the kitchen waste was taken away, I finished my job. Although tired, I felt happily and went home with strong sense of achievement.

As is known to us, a large number of wild animals has been killed for their meat skins, etc. As a result, thousand of animals have either died out and become endangered.
Actually, protect wild animals benefits the animals as well as humans. For an example, if farmers killed too many eagles, their corn and grain will be destroyed by rats. The reason is because with no eagles to hunt rats, their number would increase rapid.
Therefore, all of us must do something to protect wild animals. As for me, I have joined an organization in our town which aim is to call on people to protect wild animals and I have taken part several activities.
