Dear officer,
I am writing to extend my sincerely gratitude to you. Since the middle of August, there have been frequent mountain fires in Chongqing, caused great damage. However, the rescue work is not easy due to the uncertain of the wind.
Fortunately, you come to our rescue immediately. Professional rescue teams, armed police, fire fighting and others rescue forces spared no efforts to put off the fire. What touched me most was that the volunteers joined in the rescue work regardless of the hot weather and burning ground. That occurred to me that but for your help, Chongqing could have returned to normal so soon.
Your commitment really means a lot of to us, and I do hope to have the opportunity to repay your selfish devotion.

I signed up for a competition on garbage sorting on the Monday and I participated in the first round, a written test. Though there was many candidates, I succeeded entering the final with another student from my class. Last Friday where the final was held, my classmate and I played with the participants from other four classes, and answers all of the questions accurately. Finally, we won out! We were extremely happy what we brought honor to our class. When interviewing by the school TV station after the award ceremony, I expressed my prides in protecting our environment. The competition not only broadened my knowledge on the garbage sorting and increased the awareness of environmentally protection.

This summer, to support the activity of environmental protection, Jack and I was passing from Mainpuri city to another city while two young kids came to us and said: “Well done, you are doing good work. We are with you.” It was a very inspirational moment for me to get acknowledged and appreciate. They walked with us for one mile. They were very impressed by our work and looked very happily. They also offered food. But their words and companies were enough for us. Before that we didn’t need food or water, so we thanked them and were moved forward. Through journey, I hoped everyone could realize the important of environmental protection.

I was taking a walk with my mother while I noticed some litter on the sidewalk on last Monday. I knew it was time to take action. So on their way home, we decided to doing some clean-up work. I took a picker and my mother hold a big rubbish bag. Together we did litter pickup on the sidewalk. I was surprising that the bag filled up so quickly. Then we threw into the roadside dustbin and repeated the process two more time. It gave us a sense of achieve to know we did what we could for Mother Earth. We were determined to do so consistent, maybe once a week.
Last week I visited a small village to see the brown bears, what come to the villages at night to look at food. I waited with some tourist. As it grew dark, we see the huge black shapes of the bears. Those clever bears knew where to go for its dinner: the rubbish where there was lots of food people have thrown away. Although it’s wonderful to see the bears in the village, but it can only mean one thing: their habitat is disappearing. They would prefer to stay hiding in the mountain forests, but the trees have cut down for firewood. However, they cannot find enough food any more.

To promote the aware of fire safety, our school had conducted a fire drill last Friday. Before the drill, a firefighter officer gave us the lecture on the danger of fire, the importance of fire prevention and ways of self-rescue. We both listened carefully and took notes. Soon the fire drill began. Heard the alarm, we lined up and walked out of the classroom quickly. Approaching the staircase, we found ourselves surrounded by heavily smoke. We panicked at first but soon calmed down. As instructed, we covered our mouths and noses by wet towels, stayed low beneath the smoke but made our way out. We all safely arrived the playground and cheered for survive the big fire.
