During the summer break, I became a community volunteer to protecting the environment for one week. On the first day, I got up very earlier to kick off my seven day volunteer trip. As soon as I put on my volunteer clothes, I got straightly to work. While I was walking to the entrance of a residential area, I saw a man throw a cup on the ground. I immediately went to talk to her and said, ”Hi, sir. I’m volunteer. Can you throw it into the bin?" To my surprise, he just looked at me, turn around and left, leaving me feeling very embarrassed.
Later on, I had to guide people on how to classify their garbage and put it on the different categories of dustbins. There were some residents which did not have such a strong awareness of garbage classification. Besides, I also handed out leaflets on environmental protection to passer-by. That week’s experience was something I would consider it a highlight in my life, as I have helped to serve society as a whole.

The most positive person that I had met is my classmate Xia Tian. One day, in art class, Xia Tian was making a painting when one of the boys were running around with a paintbrush. All of sudden, the boy accidentally drew a line of brown paint in Xia Tian’s painting as he was running past. Instead of get angry she simply smiled but forgave that boy. After that, Xia Tian who started painting around that brown line, and she turned it into a beautiful tree branch in his picture. Xia Tian always thinks about the positive side of thing no matter how badly they seem. Her optimism and big, bright smile make her a role model by everyone.

Fatima Madrigal of California recent gave birth to a boy and a girl. However, which surprises us most is that twins have different birth dates and even birth years. The medical center where the twins were born said there are about 120,000 twins born in each year in the U.S. However, twins with different birthdays are rare, and the chance of twins being born in different years is about one in two millions.

I have a photo that is of great important to me. In the photo, I was playing the ping-pong happily with my father. I used to be a ping-pong player. My dad trained him hard, even though he was tiring after a day’s work. Once, I lost a game and I felt such sad that I wanted to give up. My father said nothing, sit quietly with me. The next morning, I find a piece of paper that said, “Never give up, dear. I am pride of you.”
Now I spend less time on ping-pong because my busy studying schedule. But I will never forget which my father told me.

During the summer holiday, our best friend Peter and I took a bike trip around the Qinghai Lake. We started our journey in last week of July. We rode about 100 kilometres for every day. It was very hot that our clothes were wet with sweat all the time. One day, my bicycle break down, and I fell and was injured. I almost gave up the trip, and I managed to overcoming the difficulties and keep on. We final reached our destination after about 5 days of tiring bicycle riding. We were so exciting and cheered for our success. From this experience I learned that I had an ability beyond my imagine.
