A month ago, my parent asked me what present I want for my birthday. After think for a moment, I told them that I wanted to raise a dog. My parents bought a puppy for me and they believed that I could took care of her. I was so happy that she had a dog to play with. Every time I get to home, she will run to me and show her excitement. It’s great to hear about you. I take great pride in know your interest in Chinese history. There are many famous figure in Chinese history, among which I like Lu Xun best. We Chinese people had great respect for him. Lu Xun was the famous writer and fighter in the last century. First, he wrote out a variety of articles to inspire people. Then, he introduced advancing scientific and cultural ideas. Also, he established a new form of the Chinese novel. I really admire him enthusiasm for teaching and helping people. He died many decades ago, and he is still remembered by Chinese people.

During the Tomb Sweeping Festival, apart from visiting to tombs, I spend a week helping my family pick tea. It was extremely hard job. I started out with picking early in mornings and went back later in evenings. Which I suffered most was the pain in my back and legs, but it was an unforgettable memory, an experience to remember the hardship of life. Do this job is not easy. Tea is to be picked and then collect together for being processed in a machine. It is getting easy to process tea via machines than by hand. Besides, there is no need to sell tea to factories for money any more. We just make them for ourselves. Chinese tea is nice and I often drink it with great satisfactions.
The journey was long and tired. We left London at five o'clock in the evening and spend eight hours in the train. We had been travelled for 3 hours after someone appeared selling food and drinks. It was darkness all the time we were crossing Wales, but we could see nothing through the windows. When we finally arrived Holyhead nearly everyone was slept. As soon as the train stopped, everybody come to life, grabbing their suitcase and rushing onto the platform.

Last Sunday, my classmates and I went to the neighboring community near their school. On arriving there, we gave a speech on how to protect our environment, where attracted a lot of people. After the speech, people realized they should take a bus or ride a bike instead driving to reduce air pollutions. Then we were divided into five groups and try to collect the rubbish in the community. Influencing by us, many people joined us and began to pick up the rubbish. It wasn’t long before the community looked clean or tidy. Though we were a bit tiring, we still felt very happily. Now the environment around us is becoming the better and better.

My favorite inventor is Alexander Graham Bell. When he was a small kid, Bell started to show much interest helping deaf people communicate, so his mother was almost entirely deaf. This interest led to his invention of the microphone. Beside, he also invents the telephone in 1876. However, at the beginning, that he actually tried to design was not a telephone but a multiple telegraph. During his search to improve the telegraph, Bell invented the first telephone. One of his most famous saying is: “Leave the beaten track occasional and dive into the woods. Every time you do so you will be certain to find something which is completely new in your life.” Indeed, what it was his acute curiosity that made his success. Bell was an inventor all his life. He made his first invention at 11 but his last invention at 75.

I'd grown up that hearing endless stories of my grandpa childhood in his hometown. I thought I knew it all: the size to his tiny home, the kindness of his neighbourhood, and even the details of his favourite dishes making by his mother. Yet it wasn't until I was fourteenth years old that it all came to life. My grandpa and I walked along his old street and stop outside his house. My word, it was small than I'd dreamed. Over the next couple of hour, my grandpa seemed turn back into a boy, memories he'd long since forgotten coming back to him. I even heard new stories of his youth from neighbours which came out to say a long-lost hello.

Last Friday, I met a man, which was homeless, in front of a store. Knowing that he had been hungry for a whole day, I feel heartbroken. I wanted to buy him a hot dog and I had no money at that moment. However, I told about myself that I would buy that poorly man some food if we could meet again. Yesterday, I went to same store again and luckily, I saw the man. I had some money with him this time, so I decided to buy the man a pizza and some breads. The man was great moved and kept say thanks to me.
