Though there was many candidates, I succeeded entering the final with another student from my class. Last Friday where the final was held, my classmate and I played with the participants from other four classes, and answers all of the questions accurately. Finally, we won out! A concert violinist went to New York City to play at Carnegie Hall. It was his one visit to the city, so he got lost on the way from his hotel to the concert. It’s famous for its superb acoustics (音响设计), which make it a wonderful place to both perform and listen to music-all type of music. The famous Russian composer Tchaikovsky played there, and so do the Beatles.

There are several ways improve our English writing skills, such as keeping a diary, learning some good writings with heart, doing a lot of reading, etc. As for me, I prefer keeping a diary. Comparing with other forms of writing, keeping a diary is easier and take less time. Beside, it can help us form the habit of thinking in English. If we can keep this practice, and we will gradually learn how to express us in English. What’s more, keeping a diary can be like talking about one of our close friend, sharing our happiness or sadness. In the word, keeping a diary is a good way of improving our written English.
