As a senior 3 student, I have been busy with my study and seldom does any housework. I decided to give the rooms a thoroughly cleaning to surprise my parents on last Sunday. Firstly, I collected newspapers, books, and snacks scattered in the rooms and put it in place. Then I wiped the dust off all the furnitures. After that, I sweep and mopped the floors. My parents were quite surprise to see all the rooms were neat and tidy. Tired as I was, I felt sense of achievement when I saw satisfaction in their eyes. Doing these chores can help me not only improve some basic life skills and understand my parents daily efforts better.

Li Bai's love of reading and travelling contributed his romantic style. He started studying the classics earlier when he was only five years old. I fell in love flower gardening after a school assignment. To me, it is not only relaxing but also educationally. I had experienced lots of successes and failures in growing flowers, making me realize failure is a normal part of life that lead to improvement and success. When I’m in low spirit, I often go to see how is going on in the pots. Watch things grow makes me feel at peace. He also reminds me that life is not a race but the most precious moment is now. Besides, I usually listen to books while are tending to my plants, killing two birds with one stone.

I was waiting at the train station with a friend when a man was asked to borrow my phone. He was in a hurry and seemed disappointedly. He then called his family or said he had spent all his cashes on a wrong ticket. The train station wouldn’t let him change it, what left him at a loss. We talked for a while and I ended up giving him $20 buy a new ticket.
My friend said he hoped the man was telling a truth. In my view, it’s common to be a little sceptical about how the man’s story was real. Anyway, offering him $20 to get himself out of trouble feeling like the right thing to do at that moment.

Last Friday, our English class holds a debate on online shopping. Here are not the main points. The supporters argued that online shopping has advantages saving time and money, and having a wide variety of available products. It is also convenient, allow people to shop anytime and have items delivered to they doorsteps. The opponents, however, believed that online shopping poses risks, such as frauds (伪劣品) but a lack of security. They also mentioned the problem of impulse (冲动) purchase and the inability to physical check products before purchase.
In my view, both sides made good point. Online shopping, that offers convenience, must be giving prevention to fight against frauds.

On my way to my office, I saw a man listening to music on his phones. He was standing by a pet store. He looked lose in thought as he listened to the soft music. I was looking into the distance as if watch old memories being projected onto the wall in front of him.
As I walked by, I looked back but smiled, saying, “Such the beautiful music!” Sudden everything changed. His face lit up with the biggest and happiest smile! He says, “Thank you!” We both smiled. There are so much kindness in a shared smile! I smiled all the way work!
Last week, a group of international students paid visit to our school to learn about our tea-drinking culture. They were taken to the tea room in our school which I introduced the history of tea making and different kind of tea. Then I showed them what to make tea. I sat at a table, explaining every step of the process while make tea. All of them were amazing and couldn’t wait to have a try. Soon the tea room became live with everyone trying to make our own tea. We had a lot of fun, practicing but enjoying the tea.
In the end, we took in a group photo to record this unforgettable experience.

During my childhood, my family didn’t have a lot of money, so we had to be creative when it came to be entertainment. One of our favorite thing to do on weekends were to go to the park and have a picnic. My mom would pack sandwiches, fruit, and cookies, and they would bring a frisbee and a soccer ball play with. We would spend hours running around but having fun. It didn’t matter which we didn’t have expensively toys. We were happy just spending time together in the fresh air. Looked back, I know those simple picnics are some of my fonder memories in my childhood.

Last week, aiming to enriched our school life, we students took part in an activity with the theme of “Getting to Know the Intangible Cultural Heritage Around Us”, organizing by the Student Union. The lecture was delivered a famous craftsman. He showed us what to make clay figures and displayed much of his art works, which were highly awarded. After the lecture, we made one under the guide of the master, from him whom we learnt much about cultural heritage. The other day, our class watch a short movie about noise pollution. The film shows us that long-term exposure noise pollution can cause 12,000 early deaths and 48,000 new case of heart disease annually in Europe alone. Never did I thought loud noises do so many damage to our health. Now, I always warn me to be considerate of the comfort of those nearby when used my electronic devices. I never yell at the top of my voice in the public. I often remind my parents to grow more plants in our yard, what absorb sound energy but clean the air as well.
