Many people have recognized the importance of protecting the Yangtze River, a third longest river in the world. And many organizations and projects have been set up to deal with the problem. The Green River organization, for example, which educates people on the importance of protecting this great river. It also watches the river and stops the illegally hunting of animals, which has put the wild animals population in danger.
Two special government projects are also under way. The first project, a water and soil conservation project, set up in 1989. This project resulted in farmers replace their crops with trees or grass. The second project includes nature reserves for white-flag dolphins, the number of which have dropped because of pollution in the Yangtze River.
We still have a long way to go to solve all the problems on regard to the river. However, people have finally realized that this is their responsibility to protect this great river. Our efforts to protect this much loving river will be appreciated for years to come.

My parents and I went to the park on last Sunday. There were lots of visitors stood in front of the ticket window. We both waited for a long time and buy three tickets. In the Tiger Mountain of the park, I was so eager to see the fierce animals that I quickened my step through the crowd. Unfortunate, I got separated from my parents. There is no doubt that the teenagers need to take plenty of physical exercise to keep fit. Therefore, it is a fact that many students don’t have enough time work out after school. Instead, they are required to spend most of their time in their lessons. Actually, if students are too tiring, they have difficulty concentrating on their lessons. How can they master that the teachers teach them in class? Worse still, they were likely to be in poor health in the long run.
In my opinion, it is important for teenagers to take enough exercise so that you can learn more efficiently. So teachers and parents should care less about the students’ physical and mental healthy and growth.

This morning we attended a lecture about Pompeii, that was founded in the 8th century BC. In 89 BC, the Romans took over Pompeii. It then became the rich and busy city. In 24 August AD 79, the volcano erupted. Many people buried alive, and so was the city. What unfortunate! I saw streets just as it had been, with stepping stones along the road so you did not have to step in the mud on rainy days! I saw several house which were decorated with wall paintings. I also saw the people who had been buried alive. It turns out that after the trash covered the people who they failed to flee the city, their bodies nearly completely break down and disappeared, leaving empty spaces in the disaster. It’s hard to imagine how this peacefully volcano destroyed the whole city.

Last Sunday our school organized a mountain-climbing activity, which purpose was to inspire us students to take more outdoor exercise. Hundreds of students take part in it. Having gathering at the Xiangshan Park at 8:00, they set out for the top in high spirits. Along the way we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, chatting with each other happy. If someone fell behind, others would come and lend them hand, such as carrying their bags or giving them encouraged words. After about two and a half hour, we all reached the top, where we jumped and cheered with joy.
The activity benefited from us a lot. Not only did we get some exercise, and also we promoted our friendship.

Every year, my parents and I pay visit to my grandparents in my hometown.
To be honestly, I didn’t want to go this year. You know, my hometown in their memory was so dirty. Rubbish could be seen everywhere, that annoyed me a lot. After thinking for some moment, I asked my parents that whether we could let my grandparents come and stay with us. Heard this, they just smiled.

Today is my grandma’s birthday. My parents and I bought a birthday cake and prepared some gift for my grandma, that lives with my uncle in the countryside. We caught the early bus to going there. When they arrived, my grandma and uncle stood in the doorway, wait for us. We warmly welcomed. Because my uncle was good at cooking, so he went to the kitchen to cook for us. Soon we begin to have lunch and everyone felt very happily. At four in the afternoon we said goodbye for them and returned home.

One summer evening, I was sitting by an open window, read a story book. Suddenly, I heard someone crying for help which was sounded like a child's. I went out into the yard to see anybody was in trouble.
Once again，I heard the cry from the trees at the end of a yard. "Who was there?" I called. And there was no answer. Feeling rather foolishly, I went back into the house. I had an amazed experience last Spring Festival. In the second day of the holiday, it was snowing heavily but we had a very important relative to visit, that lived in a distant mountain village. We had to take risks to drive on our journey. The road was bad, but we arrived safe.
The family welcomed us warmly. We were treated with good dinner. Later in the afternoon, after saying goodbye, we had started back home.
Sadly, our car is stuck in the snow halfway and wouldn’t move. Just then, two villager walked by or offered to push our car. Their helping us out made us trip unforgettable.

When I was young, my mother work at a hospital far away from my home. In the morning, she got up early than anyone else in my family to prepare breakfast for us, and then sent me and my brother to school. This went on for 18 year. She was never complained about it. No matter how tiring she was, she always had enough energy to be my mom. However, during holiday seasons, she had to work, that damaged my spirit because she was most important person to me. Last Christmas Eve, I went to the hospital to visit him. Seeing her devotion to care for the patients, I began to understand her job but feel proud of her.
