During my last summer holiday, I go to the countryside to enjoy myself. I saw mother bird stay in her nest in a big tree, watching some of her baby flying away. I thought she must be very proud of her children, that were able to find her own food now. But she might also feel a sense of loss because they wouldn’t need of her day-to-day care any longer. For our parents, things are much easy. We have set up our family blog to posting our photos and journals. Once we leave for college, we can convenient share our experiences but support each other. Though there are nearly 400 different types of sharks, but only about 30 types are known to have attacked human being. The most dangerous shark is great white shark. Contrarily to many people’s assumption, sharks seldom attack humans. There were 3 types of shark attacks.

To reduce the risk of a shark attack, you should follow the suggestions above: Firstly, do not swim in the dark. Secondly, do not swim if you have a fresh wound. Thirdly, do not wear bright clothing or jewellery. Final, try and stay into groups. Don’t panic, hit the shark on the nose and stick your finger in the shark’s eye unless a shark attacks you.

Don’t be frightened by sharks: you are 30 times much likely to be hit by lightening than be attacked by a shark.

Last week I went to a movie, which was very moved. It was a sadly movie about a mother and her son. My grandfather is an old man, and he has always been happily. He likes travelling and has been to many places in China. Last month, he visits the Forbidden City which the emperors once lived. He even dreams of travelling to different foreign country one day. He thinks it is important try to understand as much about the world as possible. Today we went to the beach. We get up early and after a 2-hour bus ride, we arrived. Lucky for us, there was not many people there yet. The sky was blue but the sun was shining. The water was so clear!

We all swam in the sea and had good time. I did not dare to swim very far because I was afraid of be carried away by the ocean.

Before the swim, we lay on the beach. Bill hid both of his leg in the sand, which he thought it was very funny. It was a great day. I’ll ever forget it.

Sandy arrived at the museum at last. She was so tired that she has to find a chair to sit on. If she sat down, she noticed nice painting on the wall. She stared with it for a long time--- such long, that she fell asleep.

My English teacher, Mr. Black, gave me some advices on how to improve my English several days ago. I think I can learn better than before by following what he said.

According to Mr. Black, we need to practice English as much as possibly. We can do this by listening English programs on the radio and TV, like news programs, teaching programs and films. We should also remember to read English newspapers and books. When we study English, we sometimes came across some similar words which make them confused. It is very importance to get a good dictionary for students, which it is much easier to use than other dictionaries. Don’t forget to keeping diaries, that can help us practice English writing. If we make mistakes, correct them at once and try not to make the same mistakes. I believe if we work hardly and have good ways of learning English, we will learn English well.
