Isaac Asimov was a American scientist and writer. He wrote around 480 books where included mystery stories, science and history books. But he was better known for his science fiction stories. He had an extraordinarily imagination. It gives him the ability to explore future worlds. Besides, he searched explanations of everything, in the present and the past, with an amazed mind.

Throughout his life, Asimov received much awards. He was married two. He married his first wife in 1942 and married again in 1973. In 1992, she died in New York.

I have a good friend who’s name is Han Meimei. She is our monitor and one of the excellent students in our class. Although she is clever, but she works very hard. We have a lot on common and have a lot to talk about. One evening she told me that something happened when her parents was out. She was doing her homeworks when she smelt something burning. She stopped look out of the window and find a cloud of smoke coming out of her neighbor’s house. She called 119 immediate. Ten minutes later, the firemen came and put out fire. His neighbor was very thankful for her help.

I feel it is pity that you didn’t want to take part in the speech contest. In my view, the speech contest can benefit from you in different ways. Firstly, it makes you look for more informations about your favorite scientists on the Internet or in the library, and learning more about them. Secondly, it is a challenge to prepare for a speech contest. You not only have to write a good article, and also have to perform them properly. What’s more, after the contest, you can find yourself with some newly good friends, or even a prize. I suggest you consider participating in the contest, that will really do good to you. Now, you might have heard from his neighbors about which happened on Saturday evening. When I was out a walk, my younger son, Tom, was playing football in the front of your house. He made so many noise that the neighbors got quite angrily. Even worse, Tom broke one of the window of Mr. Wilson’s house. Tom and I apologize to all the neighbors for the unhappy happenings, but promised to have the broken window repair soon. Tom said that we would not do such silly things any more. I am glad that your neighbors had forgiven us. They are really nice to people.

Last summer, I spend two weeks at a summer camp in England. Summer camps are high popular and a lot of teenager usually go camping every year. It was my first time, and I thought it was amazing. I stayed in a little wooden house with four another kids. We took part in lots of interested outdoor and social activities. I took my computer and camera to me, and sent photos back to my parents. At the camp I spoke English all time and I also practiced read signs. So my English is quite good now. I was sad to leaving the camp because of it was a really special holiday.

I went hiking to a mountain with my friend last summer. It was a good trip in the beginning and something unexpected happened halfway. One of my friends suddenly felt a terrible pain in his stomach and he couldn’t move any far. Nobody knew how to deal it. One girl tried to call her mum over her mobile phone, but there is no signal in the mountain area. Lucky we had brought a tent with us. We put it up and let him to rest in it. After taken some pills, he drank some water and ate some food. After a while, I felt much better and we walked on. We all enjoyed ourselves on a top of the mountain.

Two days before, our school had an opening ceremony in the school auditorium.All the teachers and students as well as some famous scientists and government official attended to the ceremony.Our principal made a speech, in which he hope everybody in our school will make the greatest efforts and make even more progress in the new term.At the ceremony, excellent students were present with prizes and our principal also announced that some honour students had won medals in various competitions, who is the pride of our school.Eventually a famous scientist told the students about their learning experience and what he achieves success in his research work.So moving was I by what he said that I made up my mind to learn him and study harder in the new term.

My father is a driver and my mother is a teacher. All of them work hard during the week. No matter what busy they are, they always manage to take us to my uncle's home at the weekend and work on the farm. The farm is not very big, and there is always so much to do. I like looking after the animal, taking them to the field, giving them food, and play with them. My parents help with my uncle in the field, while my aunt prepare dinner for us. Sometimes I help in the field, too. It is on the farm what I get to know the meaning of the saying, “A grain, a sweat”. After several hours' hard work, we are all hungry and tired. We usually have big meal, and then go back home in the evening.

During the winter vacation I went on a trip, that was wonderful because I tried something I have never experienced before. One morning when we were walking along the beach,enjoyed sunshine, someone strongly advised that we went water skiing. However, I didn't dare to face the challenge because that seemed dangerous to do it. My friends all encouraged me, so I finally joined in them. At last, I couldn't stop screaming in fright. Later I felt that it was an amazement filling with fun. From an experience I learned that we should be brave enough to try something new. Only in this way we find a better self to meet any challenge.
