The other day, I discover I couldn't move my right arm and fingers after sleeping through a flight. Having diagnosed me with neural injury, the doctor suggested I could try acupuncture(针灸). So I followed his advices and began my treatment. Dozens tiny needles were inserted across my arm and fingers. I dared not move, because even a small change of position could cause a acute pain. Two weeks went by since I could eat a meal with chopsticks and it took a month for my arm and fingers to return back to their normal functions. I was very amazing at how magic these needles were. That I had always considered old-fashioned and useless turned out to be of great use. I hope acupuncture, with its help I recovered, will continue to bring health to other people.

The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Double Fifth Festival, is celebrated in the 5th day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. It is one of the major Chinese festival with a history of over 2,000 years.
The Dragon Boat Festival is in memory of Qu Yuan, an honest minister and poet who committed suicide by drowning him in the Miluo River. There is a number of activities such as eating rice dumplings, throw rice dumplings into the river and so on. People always eat rice dumplings but watch dragon boat races celebrate it. The festival is famous for its dragon-boat races, especial in the southern places which there are many rivers and lakes.

No doubt that great changes will be take place in future. People always wonder how the life in future will be like. Firstly, people may choose work either in the company or at home. They will work to enjoy life instead of make a living. Secondly, people will have more leisure time to enjoy them. Besides various recreational activity, people will travel to the moon or even Mars. Thirdly, people will have more choices when it come to study. They won’t have to go to school to study knowledge teaching by teachers. Instead, they’ll have access to lessons in the Internet. In a word, people will own a wonderful future life, that will be much more convenient and colorful.
The environment pollution was more and more serious today. We have no clean water to drink it because of water pollution. And when trees cut down, some animals disappear. There is more and more dirty smoke in the air. People’s health has been great affected by air, noise and water pollution. Many people have died of diseases causing by pollution. In order to live the better life, it’s time for us to protect our world. We should recycle, reduce and reuse things, what saves money and reduces pollution. Use things so long as possible. Don’t use plastic bag. Besides, we must plant more trees and stop people cutting it down. We hope our world will be more and more beautiful.

Last week I visited a small village to see the brown bears, what come to the villages at night to look at food. I waited with some tourist. As it grew dark, we see the huge black shapes of the bears. Those clever bears knew where to go for its dinner: the rubbish where there was lots of food people have thrown away. Although it’s wonderful to see the bears in the village, but it can only mean one thing: their habitat is disappearing. They would prefer to stay hiding in the mountain forests, but the trees have cut down for firewood. However, they cannot find enough food any more.
Last Sunday I finished my volunteer work in the wildlife park in my hometown, where was a valuable experience for me.
In park, I did the cleaning for the animals and feed them every day. In addition to, I corrected the translation mistakes on the leaflets which give visitors basic informations about the park. I also worked as a guide tell visitors that they should pay attention to when visiting the park.
I am so happy that I did something useful but meaningful for those wonderfully creatures. I hope more and more people will join me to protect it.

Last week, our community held an activity to call on people to donate items at poor fellow students, which is very meaningful to our students.
As scheduled, I arrived at the city hall at 8 o’clock and start to give away my things what are no longer needed. At first, there weren’t lots of people. Therefore, the crowd started to get bigger and I was offered to help record the items. It was until half past six in the evening that the activity came to a end.
Not only did I do a good deed but also I learned the important of sharing, thus made me more willing to help others.
