One Sunday morning, I got a opportunity to help someone. I was walking by a field when I saw an old man pulling out the dry grass. He was clearing his field up grow new plants. I had entered the field and asked him that I could help. He nodded with a smile and with her permission, I started working hard or cleared up a large area finally. Work with him was fun because he shared many interesting stories in me. After the work, he offered me some vegetable, for which I was very thankful. It was a wonderfully way to begin the day.

I went to Xiangshan Park in last week. At the gate I happened to meet some America tourists. I greeted him in English and then we begin to chat. A few days ago, my grandfather moved in to live with us. At first, I was full of idea about what it was going to like. We would take him to the senior center for lunch and he would make friends with there. However, Granddaddy Bill refuses to even go outside, much more to the senior center. He was simply exciting to just have somebody to talk to and watch television with. Then I realized being a good caregiver meant dropping my own judgments about that it should be, and focus instead on his needs. Once I understood what was real important to him, he was able to spend his last years living the life he wanted, in a way he wanted.

Last Sunday, I joined a voluntary activity organized by our school to visit the child in the west of the city. We set off on eight o'clock by school bus but it took about an hour. When we got there, the first, we handed out the school things we have prepared for the kids. Then we gave them some wonderfully performances and the kids sang some songs for them. After that we played games，which made us very happy. We said good-bye and returned our school in the late afternoon. That I learned from this experience is beneficial. I went fishing with my best friend Li Hua last Sunday — an experience I’ll remember it forever. Last Sunday, Li Hua bought a set of fishing equipments so he suggested that we went fishing by a local river. It was the nice day and the fresh air there lifted our mood. We start fishing by the riverside. We didn’t get any fish in the first half an hour; therefore, we didn’t give up easily. Another 30 minutes passed, and I gradually ran out patience and began complaining about bad luck. Li Hua shared his successfully fishing experiences with me, encourage me to be patient. Finally, I caught five fish. You can’t imagine what excited I was at that time.

Three years ago I studied in Spain and stay with a host family. I was in a city calling Alcola de Hemades outside Madrid. It's a 30-minutes train ride from downtown Madrid, that I experienced every Monday to Friday. Because of I attended a Spanish International school, I went to class with Brazilians, French, Germans and so on. It was really well for my Spanish as I was able practise with my friends who couldn't speak English. As the result, my Spanish improved greatly soon. Besides, my host family was really wonder. With their help, I enjoyed mine stay in Spain.

My son and I drove from Pennsylvania to Seattle in late November. Approached Rawlins, Wyoming, in Thanksgiving Day, we pulled off to eat. Only place was still open. We were greeted and seated quickly, but the waitress told us the food would be out shortly. Without ever seeing a menu, we are soon served a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the food what was left. When we asked for their check, the owner said that every year the restaurant provides a freely Thanksgiving dinner to give back to the community. He wouldn’t to accept money even from travelers like us just passing through. We left in 14-degrees weather with snow blowing sideways, full of gratitude.

On January 5th, students in our school visited Robot World, which we saw different robot. It was amazed to find those robots could do a great number of things just like real people, included playing chess, playing the piano and drawing pictures. What’s more, the robots were in different types and shapes, which made us enjoyable. In addition, that excited me most is the show given by a group of robots. They danced just like dancers on the stage. By visiting Robot World, I have learned a lot of about robots, especial about their functions and shapes. The great human wisdom is very powerful that it makes us feel more comfortable live in the world.
