Last Wednesday, the teachers and students in Senior Three attended the grown-up ceremony holding in our school hall, which theme was “Growth and Responsibility”. First, a student representing all of us made an one-minute speech. He showed our sincerely thanks to our parents and teachers and talked about our dreams. Then, some teachers and parents offered us their congratulations and expressed their expectations for ours future. Afterwards, wonderful performances were put on by students from a couple of class. Though the ceremony over now, it has made me realize clearly that I have grow up. I should be responsible to myself now. I will ever forget this experience.

It was a Sunday and the heavy storm lasted all night. The morning before the storm, though, was beautiful: blue skies, warm air and a calm, inviting sea touching the shore gently.
My father realized it was a good day for fishing and invites my sister and me to go with him. I was only 14 and fishing had never been my thing, and I decided to go all the same. I'm so glad I did.
On the road to the harbor we could see the terribly destruction on the coast, but the harbor itself was in fairly good shape. After all, it protected by the arms of a bay that had only one tiny channel to the sea. As we got on the board, we noticed two big humps(脊背)in the distance.
On approached them, we saw it was a mother whale with his baby. We couldn't believe it—there aren't any whales along the coast here. The storm must have driven them across the ocean into the bay, in that the still water was such badly polluted that nothing could survive.

Last Sunday I went to a animal hospital to help the doctors there. I arrived at the hospital early in the morning. And there were already much work to do: giving the pets food and water, and even giving them kisses on the heads.
At first, they looked at me with frightening eyes. A doctor says to them, "Don't worry, and everything will be OK." I washed a dog's hurt leg. I worked careful to make sure I didn't hurt him. I wished he could know we were just trying help him. It was a long day and the work made me tired, and I was very happy. I knew I loved animal. And the animals knew I loved him. They enjoyed about my care with love!

I graduated from high school 15 years ago. While I am at school, I began thinking different and making better choices. I also joined in some school clubs. These helped me grow as person. I also learned how to choose friends which encourage me, guide me and listening to my thoughts. That's why I'm peaceful, confident or happy now. There's no rooms in my life for negative people nowadays. When I think back to those high school memories, we seem like a lifetime ago. This summer I took part in a really interesting project. It’s called One-Day Clean-up, which aim is to clear rubbish. I heard about it from my neighbor who used to taking part several years before. I thought it would be a fun. Most of the people there are teenagers. We picked up all the rubbish that we could find by the seaside. It made me realize what important it was to increase people’s awareness on protecting the environment. I’m determined now to get my family recycle as many as possible.
