I can't believe I'm senior high student now! How amazed the new school life is! All the students and teacher in my class are friendly and helpful, and they have become my friends. Last Wednesday, the teachers and students in Senior Three attended the grown-up ceremony holding in our school hall, which theme was “Growth and Responsibility”. First, a student representing all of us made an one-minute speech. He showed our sincerely thanks to our parents and teachers and talked about our dreams. Then, some teachers and parents offered us their congratulations and expressed their expectations for ours future. Afterwards, wonderful performances were put on by students from a couple of class. It was a Sunday and the heavy storm lasted all night. The morning before the storm, though, was beautiful: blue skies, warm air and a calm, inviting sea touching the shore gently.
My father realized it was a good day for fishing and invites my sister and me to go with him. I was only 14 and fishing had never been my thing, and I decided to go all the same. I'm so glad I did.
On the road to the harbor we could see the terribly destruction on the coast, but the harbor itself was in fairly good shape. After all, it protected by the arms of a bay that had only one tiny channel to the sea. As we got on the board, we noticed two big humps(脊背)in the distance.
On approached them, we saw it was a mother whale with his baby. We couldn't believe it—there aren't any whales along the coast here. The storm must have driven them across the ocean into the bay, in that the still water was such badly polluted that nothing could survive.

Last weekend my classmates and I took part a voluntary activity in the community, which is actually organized by our school. As planned, they met at 9 on the Saturday morning at the school gate. When we arrived, we first went to the old people home in which we told stories but put on a talent show. What’s more, we visited some sick kid and gave them some gifts, what I thought could encourage them a lot. Last Sunday I went to a animal hospital to help the doctors there. I arrived at the hospital early in the morning. And there were already much work to do: giving the pets food and water, and even giving them kisses on the heads.

Last Friday, our school held a fire drill. Listened to the teacher attentively in the math class, all of a suddenly, we heard a fire alarm from the loudspeaker. I graduated from high school 15 years ago. While I am at school, I began thinking different and making better choices. I also joined in some school clubs. These helped me grow as person. I also learned how to choose friends which encourage me, guide me and listening to my thoughts. That's why I'm peaceful, confident or happy now. There's no rooms in my life for negative people nowadays. When I think back to those high school memories, we seem like a lifetime ago. Although those times are over, they still play a great role for promoting my current work and life.
