Last weekend my classmates and I took part a voluntary activity in the community, which is actually organized by our school. As planned, they met at 9 on the Saturday morning at the school gate. When we arrived, we first went to the old people home in which we told stories but put on a talent show. What’s more, we visited some sick kid and gave them some gifts, what I thought could encourage them a lot. Finally, we helped to cleaning up the city parks so that people could have a clean and beautiful environment. How meaningfully it was!

Last Friday, our school held a fire drill. Listened to the teacher attentively in the math class, all of a suddenly, we heard a fire alarm from the loudspeaker. In order to celebrated National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival, and we had an 8-day holiday. After it, my classmates and I were talking about how to do during the holiday excitedly. Then we decided to go to help the farmers instead of stay at home. As soon as we arrived at farm, we were attracted by the apples hanging on the branches. We couldn't wait to pick the apples, which were the most interesting work. Particular, we were allowed to choose what we liked best and taste them. We didn't feel boring at all even though the job was tiring. We worked for 5 hours happily unless the sun set.

This summer I took part in a really interesting project. It’s called One-Day Clean-up, which aim is to clear rubbish. I heard about it from my neighbor who used to taking part several years before. I thought it would be a fun. Most of the people there are teenagers. We picked up all the rubbish that we could find by the seaside. It made me realize what important it was to increase people’s awareness on protecting the environment. I’m determined now to get my family recycle as many as possible. It will be worth it if we can make our seas safe for all sea animal.

Do you believe love is the most important? In the early twenty century, homeless people were often brought up in orphanages, in that they received little love. At one time, Dr. Skeels took twelve children from an art orphanage or had a young girl look them each day. He also studied another the twelve children who are left in the orphanage all day long. He followed these children until they grew up, and the results were shocked. The children staying all day in the orphanage were either dead or suffering from serious illnesses. However, the twelve children loved by the girl were all healthy and independently. The only differences between these children -- the love, made a great difference to us.
