A few days ago, my grandfather moved in to live with us. At first, I was full of idea about what it was going to like. We would take him to the senior center for lunch and he would make friends with there. However, Granddaddy Bill refuses to even go outside, much more to the senior center. He was simply exciting to just have somebody to talk to and watch television with. Then I realized being a good caregiver meant dropping my own judgments about that it should be, and focus instead on his needs. Once I understood what was real important to him, he was able to spend his last years living the life he wanted, in a way he wanted.

Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake when suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happened. I love sports. My friends and I often play football in my out-of-class activities. Today I finish my PE test. As a boy I was joined in two parts, the long jump and the 1000m race. Last winter my dog, Anne and I go to the Arctic Hill. It was covered with ice, what made it very interested to slide(滑行) down. Anne did a trick with her tail. I turned around three times before I reached the bottom(底部)! Some young boys were watched us slide. We wanted to slide down too. Then I came up a good idea. I asked Anne that she would agree.
We played at the bottom of the hill but when the young boys slid down, we flew right into the softly and safe places. In this way everyone had a fun.

In my junior high school, I was determine to enter my school’s "Speech Meet" contest. I delivered a speech about gratitudes and friendship but I won first prize. I was awarded gold medal and I proud hung it up in my room. I understood it marked the first time that of I found my voice. It was the first proof I had that my words mattered and that even as a small adolescent, what I had to say were worthy of being hearing. It gave us the courage to be more outspoken — to speak up and speak out wherever my words could make a different.
Thanks for your concern in your letter about the smog which frequent strikes some areas of China. I’m also very worrying about such a terrible weather. It has brought much inconvenience or rather harm to people's health such as road accident, bad coughs and even lung cancers and so on.
It is known to all, good environment comes from careful protection. But we should do what we can protect it. I believe a small step can make a different. Lei Xingyu, who is sixteen, is middle school student in Northern China. She is one of the best student in her class and she was won an award for young scientists last year. Last night, my friend planned to go to KTV together, so they asked me if I wanted to go with them. I liked KTV very much, and I always practice singing when I am taking shower. However, I had a math class to attending. At last, I decided to cut the class and go with them. When I was singing songs with my friends, and I was thinking about my math teacher. What would she do if she found out I had cut his class? Would she be disappointing in me and even punished me? I couldn’t have fun for all my heart. Many senior high school students have children's books that they no longer need. However, my school organized a book drive, with the purpose donating books to disadvantaged families with young children. The activity lasts for a week and students in my school were encouraging to collect gently used children's books from family members, friends and neighbors. I, along with other volunteers, were responsible for checking the donated books and packing it. In order to perform the task well, I had learned how to packing things from my father in the advance. Though I was tiring at the end of the week, I was happy what I got involved in doing something that could make a difference to the community.
