Diligence is a must for us to reach our goals. I never realized it until I tried every efforts to win the English speech competition last year.
It was quite a big challenge for me because I was not that confident about your oral English and I was shy to speak in public. To give a better performance, I made fully use of my spare time to prepare for it. I recorded my lines and ask my foreign teacher to correct my pronunciation. Then I kept practise day and night. Besides, I seized every chance to speak in the front of my family or friends. The more I practiced, the much confident I became. In the end, I won the competition but got a prize.
It was such great that all my efforts paid off. I was so proud myself.

My family were travelling back to Yibin from Chengdu then it started to snow. At first, I thought it is fun and everything looked beautifully. I was looking forward to make a snowman on the playground at my school the next day, and suddenly the car drove off road and into a channel. Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake when suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happened.
