Life without a hobby is like food without salt. I have much hobbies like drawing, gardening and reading, among what my favorite is gardening.
I enjoy tending my plants but watering them every day, which gives me sense of achievement and satisfaction. Additionally, the beauty of flowers makes me relaxing. My hobby is really helpful for my study, especial when I’m tired after doing my schoolworks. It is a great relief for me to seeing beautiful flowers and lovely plants. As a secretary at an international airport, my sister has a office next to the room in which Security holds suspects. One day, security officers are questioning a man when they were suddenly called away by an emergency. To the surprising of my sister and her colleagues, the man was left lonely in the unlocked room. After a few minute, the door opened, and he walked out. Summoning up his courage, my sister barked, “get back in there, but don’t come out until you told!” The man hurried back inside and shut the door. When the security people returned back, my sister reported that had happened. With a word, an officer walked into the room and told the very frightened telephone repairman that he could go.

It was the first time I had been to countryside. At 9 o'clock in the morning I started out with several classmates. In the way we saw rice fields and trees on all sides of the road. Factories, shops, and schools had been built in many village. From ten to twelve we visited ten families. We told that many farmers had planted vegetables and raise silkworms (蚕) and they had become rich. Some even bought color TV sets. The life of the farmers had been great improved. It was said that some America friends would come to visit their village. We are greatly inspired by the achievements they had made them in recent years.

It is generally believed there is a good supply of fresh water. And to our disappointment, the fact was just the opposite.What we know, the world population is growing rapid day by day. So much fresh water is needed to feed so a big population. What's the more, with the development of industry, some factories produce poisonous waste, which consequently results from the pollution of water. It’s high time for we to take quick action to protect water resources. Stopping pollution and save water, otherwise we cannot survive on the earth.
