文章大意:这是一篇说明文。文章介绍了几种特别忙碌的人可以采用的时间管理技巧。

2 . Time Management Techniques for Super-Busy People

Who hasn’t wished at some point that there were more hours in a day? But we can accomplish what we want each day if we put some basic time management principles in place and follow them.

Recognize you can’t do it all.

Too many of us are stretched too thin because we’ve bought into the myth (错误观点) that everyone can(and should) do it all. But in fact you don’t need to do and can not do everything.     1     .

Put what you must do first.

2     . Review the list of what you have to do at the day’s start and then pick out the things that you ‘must do’ that day. Focus on getting those important things done. At the end of the day, you’ll have a feeling of accomplishment.

Learn to say “Yes” and “No”.

The inability to say “No” is the cause of an incredible amount of misunderstanding and frustration. Learn to make quick decisions and say “Yes” or “No”.     3     . And you’ll be without the pressure to fit in yet another activity or event you weren’t that interested in anyhow.

Be unreachable when necessary.

There are times when it’s important to be unreachable to everyone or everything except the person or the task immediately in front of us.     4     . And make yourself the manager of your technology rather than being managed by it.

    5     .

Success depends on what you do, not on how much time you spend doing it. So include time off into your schedule, whether it’s an afternoon or a weekend or a week, you return to your work refreshed and more productive, able to accomplish so much more in the amount of time available.

A.Take time off
B.Every little helps
C.Just look at your daily calendar on any given day
D.Saying “Maybe” is good for you to avoid embarrassment
E.So recognize this and ‘disconnect’ yourself when appropriate
F.The person you’re speaking to will appreciate your honesty and your unwillingness
G.What matters is that you are healthy and happy with how you’re spending your time

文章大意:这是一篇说明文。文章就如何克服开始新事物时所产生的焦虑提出几种方法。

3 . Why do we feel anxiety about starting something new? Why do we hold ourselves back from beginning a new job, a new business, starting or ending a relationship?     1    .

The first way we can begin to deal with our anxiety is to acknowledge it. When we don’t acknowledge our fear,     2    . That’s why it’s so important to reflect on why you are hesitant to begin your new project. Without reflection, fear runs rampant (猖獗的). But once the anxiety is acknowledged, you can begin to ease it with logical and emotional arguments.

3    . One powerful way to ease your fears is to embrace your anxiety. Get familiar with the feeling of being afraid, and accept it! It’s there to protect you, but it doesn’t have to control you. In fact, go ahead and accept that failure is possible. Even plan on doing it wrong first.

Another way to reduce anxiety is to concentrate your life on leaning, instead of achievement. When you shit your focus away from badges of success and to a learning mindset,     4    . Your ultimate goal is simply to learn.

Finally, just remember everyone feels fear. Everyone has to go through learning periods before they find what really works. All the most successful people have actually just failed more than regular people. Though having failed many times, they’ve ended up learning more than most and building something great.     5    . That’s why we need courage. So if all else fails, just do it scared.

A.it’s easy to let it control us
B.we’re nervous to reveal ourselves
C.Next, accept the possibility of failure
D.it makes trying new things much less scary
E.Try the following to overcome that fear and move forward
F.Secondly, failure does not make you any less worthy of trying
G.Actually, anxiety about starting something new never really goes away
