After that, I was asked to turn over the soil with a digger and I soon ran out my energy. Although doing farm work was tired, I had a really great day. Now I realize it is of great important to do farm work even for us Senior 3 students, because we should have some labor education.

4 . Some of the greatest problems we face today are concerned with the gradual destruction of our environment. Brown clouds; wildlife _________; polluted water. These _________ all seem so huge. 5 . When she was 41 years old, Deanna Mulligan stepped back from the top of her career. Now CEO of Guardian Life Insurance, Ms. Mulligan reflects on that move：

I was 41 then, when it is ________to be the peak of one's career. At the time, taking a ________was considered a really strange thing. People said to me, “You can^’t take time off. You'll never_________on a career path.”

Life is full of various experiences, some of whom are unforgettable. I still remember the hiking experiences with my classmates for 16 kilometers to Hailongtun two years ago. However, with the weather is getting hotter and hotter, I found their legs heavier and heavier. What’s worse, my feet began bleeding because long time pressing against the shoes. Have you seen people who take pictures of food for more than 10 minutes before eating? How about those who beautify their selfie (自拍) so much that they can’t be____? 8 . I tend to go slowly when I drive in the mountains of my home, because the forest scenery is beautiful no matter what the season. This morning I was driving slower than usual because an early March snow had turned the roads slippery. Going up a mountain road, at a sharp, snowy curve, I saw a big buck deer standing in the middle of the road. I came to a full stop and for a few seconds we just stared at each other. His eyes seemed wise and he stood still there. Finally, he nodded his head at me. I nodded in return and motioned with my hand for him to go on. He then jumped across the road, up the hill, and back into the woods. I drove on smiling at the magic of this moment and thanked that I had been going slowly enough not to hit this beautiful creature.

Most of us rush through this life not knowing what we are missing. We rarely get to enjoy what each day brings us. Life is meant to be savored. Days are meant to be lived in love and joy not flown through at a crazy speed.

The next time you find yourself going too fast, slow down. Take the time to watch the sunrise and fill the world with light. Take the time to look your children in their eyes, hug them, and tell them that you love them. Take the time to live your life with love and delight in all the miracles each day brings you. And you might even end up not hitting a deer on your way home.

9 . Many people become successful because they pay attention to the lessons that life teaches them.     1     However, by learning to deal with the challenges, one can come out of the experience, wiser, stronger and more able to face whatever else lies ahead.

Life lessons can occur in any area. Although we learn many things each day, we don’t always learn something that we feel will affect our behavior for the rest of our lives.    2    It is usually something we are greatly changed by.

For example, if we respond in a certain way to something and then face unpleasant consequences, we’ll rethink how we handled the situation. This can serve as a life lesson so that when we’re faced with similar circumstances, we can consciously change our behavior.     3    

Such lessons in relationships are as varied and unique as each relationship, yet there are common themes.     4     Some of us learn a major life lesson when a loved one dies, and we wish we had spent more time with that person. This lesson can result in us spending more time with our remaining loved ones.

    5     Since the lesson is learned through the consequences of our actions or reactions, in this way we can gain insight into how we think, act and react in certain situations. Perhaps one of the biggest lessons we can finally learn is that while we can’t control everything, we can control our response to things.
