In our daily life, we both need help.There are often some cases that we help ourselves indirectly when we help others. Last month, a friend of mine asked for me to help him with his English. This morning I was late for school so I became caught in a serious traffic jam in my way to school. The traffic jam was causing by an accident. A girl hit by a bus while she was crossed the road. She was in so a hurry that she ran a red light. Just as she was crossing, a bus turned into my bike. It was too late for her to stop her bike so she is knocked over. She hurt her leg very badly. I think this accident is not a good lesson for all of us. It tells us the important of obeying the traffic rules even when we are in a hurry.

To tell truth, I really had a busy but meaningful winter vacation. In the morning, I usually have classes online, which was given by my school teachers. In the afternoon, I was suppose to do my homework. It seems that we always have endless homework to do, but that's life—let's face them. Then came the evening where I could have fun and relax myself. We are now living in an age that TVs, cellphones and the Web are wide used. And it seemed that many people can not enjoy themselves without it.

A few days ago, my grandfather moved in to live with us. At the beginning I was full of idea about what it was going to like. We would take him to the senior center for lunch and he would make friends with. Instead, Granddaddy Bill refuses to even go outside, much more to the senior center. He was simply exciting to just have somebody to talk to and watch television with. Being a good caregiver meant dropping your own judgments about what it should be, and focus instead on his needs. Once I understood what was real important to him, he was able to spend his last years living the life he wanted, in a way he wanted.
