Yesterday, when I complained with my mom about too little entertainment, she share the story of her youth with me. In the 1980s, neither iPads nor smartphones were invented. Each time when evenings approached, the children around would crowd into the only house where had a television. We stared at the small screen until the program ended. Parent would make every effort to drag their children to bed when it was getting lately. But now, iPads and smartphones have taken place of televisions. No wonder my mom always says we are the generation growing up in a honey jar. After listen to my mom’s story I felt lucky to live so a happy and comfortable life.

While in the three grade, I got to like the library in my hometown and the gently librarian. And it occupied a place in my heart since then. I used to spend most of my spare time in a library every weekend. At first I could only chose to read children's books. People always say that we lack of the eyes of realizing the beauty in life. I can’t agree complete. Last Friday, I wake up very early and decided to take a walk. In the square there many senior citizens were dancing, I found several elders absorb in feeding birds. Without many cars, we realized that the city looked so clean and beautiful. When I was very young, I was always told by my mom not to wasting food. She did really well at saving food. For example, she often made a list of what we would eat in a whole weeks ahead of time and bought fresh vegetables every day. She always said, “Store of more. Waste more.” Usual we could finish all the food, but sometimes there was some food left. At that time, my mom would put it into the refrigerator.
Now I am growing up and has to eat in the school dining hall. Influencing by her, I just take as much I need and never waste food. And I was trying to influence more people around mine.

I love doing housework. I always assist my parents in doing the dish after meals. I also water the flowers in the yard and tidying up my own bedroom whatever necessary. In my opinion, students can benefit a lot doing some housework. Firstly, doing housework was helpful for us to be a responsible person.
