Dear friends! My name is Wang Lin! I am greatly honoured to have this chance to act as your tour guide. Welcome to our park!  

Georgia Power held its yearly “Career (职业) Day” on April 21 for high school students in the area.

The activity gave students a first-hand look at the tools    1     (use) by linemen every day. It also gave them a chance to speak face-to-face with employees (员工) about what     2     (they) everyday life is like.

Audrey King, the Vice President of External Affairs for Georgia Power said, “It’s hard    3     (see) a chance if you have not experienced it, so we wanted them to feel what it is like to be a lineman in the day of a lineman.”

Organizers said activities like this are important as linemen play    4    key role in the community.

“As you well know, we    5     (influence) by a tornado (龙卷风) that recently came through. It heavily influenced our communities. These are the men and women of our organization    6     go out to get the work done and bring services back, so we have students coming here today to show them what that looks like and help them make a decision    7    career choices,” King said.

Georgia Power employee Richard Hall added,“    8     (hopeful) some students will be     9     (interest) in our work and the industry as a whole because like all industries, we need     10     (worker).”

7 . It is an honor for me to give this speech as one of the graduating students, and welcome you to this special Graduating Ceremony 2020 in Tsinghua University.

Each of us has different stories to share, of amazing life experiences and challenges. Please allow me to _______ with you the course of my journey which has made me what I am today.

I was born in the middle of war, which caused my family to _______ Serbia for three years. When the war ended, we returned to Bosnia _______ I was unfortunately raised by a single parent. My mother, who is and will ever be my heroine, was the only figure who _______ me, supported me and kept me on the right way. I thanked her so much because only she is _______ for a huge part of my success. I will always remember her teachings, “to complain less and always find solutions at the price of whatever it takes”, which brought me to ________, an ancient land of new hopes.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, I got the best ________ to understand China. I saw millions of people united with one goal—to win the battle ________ this epidemic(流行病). Everyone has a role to ________ against the virus. In Tsinghua, I played a little but necessary role.

Friends, we are now ________ from one of the world’s best universities. Let us accept new ________, think beyond our limits and keep in mind the truth of life.
