The day, May 16th, is my younger brother's birthday. That afternoon I went to the shopping center downtown, and buy a present for him. Then I took the subway train home. Seating on the train, I thought my brother would be very happy when he saw a present.
At the next station, an old lady with two heavy bag got on the train and stood in front of me. She looked tiring. I didn't hesitate for a moment, but then offered my seat to him. The old lady thanked me for a lot and sat down. I felt joyfully when seeing her smile. I will always ready to help others in the future.
One afternoon in February，my classmates and I were on the way to the cinema. Sudden an old woman fell down heavily due to the ground covering with thick ice. Seeing what have happened，we called 120 without a second thought. On such cold weather，we stayed with her until the ambulance came to scene. And then they left for the cinema. Although we were later for the interesting film，but we all thought it was worthwhile. After all，helping people in need is a good way to obtain joy and happy. Now we all remember the day when when we spent together.
The good communication between parents and children are very important. If we don't communicate with our parents proper, we may find it difficulty to get their support when we are in need of help. How should we do to improve our communication with our parents？ Firstly, we should listen to our parents patiently when they give us advices. Their advice can serve as short cut to solve your problems. Secondly, we should be honest with our parents. If we disagree with them, we should let them to know. Last but not least, we should always trusted our parents and see them as our friends. It is always easy for us to communicating with friends.
Several days ago when I went shopping in New York I saw an old woman crossed the street with a heavy bag in her hand. At that moment，the American boy was standing nearby. I thought the boy will help the old lady，and to my surprise，he did nothing. This seemed very strangely to me.
Later my roommate explained the boy's behaviors to me. Americans place emphasis to independence. If the boy had offered to help her，the old woman would have felt that she had considered old and weak. What the boy did it allowed her to keep her independence, that was more important to her than the discomfort of carrying a heavy load.
I finished my junior middle school in a boarding school. At the first, I felt very lonely because I hardly know anybody. I couldn't get on well with my classmates and just looked forward to go back home to meet my parents. I even couldn't concentrate my subjects. As time went by, besides, I gradually got used to the school life. I made many new friend and often took part in activities, in that I improved my communicating skills. As I had a lot of interesting things to do, I final enjoyed my school life. Now,whenever I think of my first boarding school experience, I think of them as being instructive and unforgettably.
The biggest challenge I have overcome is stepping out of my comfort zone. In the year of 2017 when I was 15, I joined an exchange student program. I sent to Germany alone and lived with the host family.
At first it was a huge failure for me. Thanks for my host mom, I adapted myself to the new surroundings gradually. She told me some tip on making friends, such as joining a sports club and invited my classmates to watch a movie. Surprising, all of the tips she gave me work! She also suggested that I can introduce my culture to my classmates. To my astonish,they were all interesting in Chinese culture.
Eventually, my discomfort zone became a part of my comfort zone.
As the saying goes, "Friendship is like sunshine keeps us warm and helps us grow." I think it is important for us to making good friends so that we can always have a fun. I like to choose people who are kind, honesty and helpful as my friends. I like to share my thoughts and fears about them whenever I get into trouble.
Now I have some good friends who trusts me. I always care about what had happened to them, because I call them once a week. I always go out with my friends, chatting and playing. I try to offer some advices to my friends when necessary. In this way they could keep friendship.
The other day， I was invited my friend Sam's home for dinner. I felt a bit surprising when I saw Bill there. It has been two month since we two quarreled，so I was embarrassed and didn't know how to do. I sat down on the sofa but began to watch TV. Later Sam came to ask me to make up with Bill. Until then I realize that Sam had arranged the dinner on purpose. He went up to Bill and greeted him warmly， smile at him. He looked very happy and talked with me excited. That night， we had a great fun together.
When we are happy, we would like share our happiness with others, making them know our enjoyment. When we are not in a good mood, we wanted to get someone whom can listen to us. Be a listener is not easy. People always complain about our worries, and a good listener should listen to them but learn to comfort them. To be a good listener can help us make good friend with others. The one who always listen to others is more likely to be easy-going. When he is in the trouble, his friends will be willingly to help him. So let’s learn to be a good listener from now on.
In our daily life, if we want to do our work good, we must learn what to work together with others. Working together can save us time and energy. Beside, we can learn much from our partners by working with them.
Work with those we like can be joy. We can share pleasure and sad with them. But it challenged us to work with people we dislike. In such situation, just pay attention on the work itself. Perhaps by working together for a long time, we’ll find it that they are easy to get along with.
