Last summer, my family took short trip to the countryside. After drive for two hours, we arrived at a mountain lake. The scenery is breathtaking. We hiked, picnicked or swam in the lake. At night, we roasted beef in the starlight. The next day they visited a village, ate at a farmhouse and picking fruits. Though short, it was relaxed. I enjoyed nature and being with family. Traveling and trying some new thing make family trips meaningfully and unforgettable. How I look forward to one more such trip in the near future again!
The journey was long and tired. We left London at five o'clock in the evening and spend eight hours in the train. We had been travelled for 3 hours after someone appeared selling food and drinks. It was darkness all the time we were crossing Wales, but we could see nothing through the windows. When we finally arrived Holyhead nearly everyone was slept. Last month, I, together with my parents, were invited to my uncle's home in Beijing. My uncle, whose moved to Beijing when I was five, has been living there for nearly ten years. He meets us at the airport. The moment I arrived Beijing, I was so exciting. In the following days, we visited some places of interest and took photos in the front of TianAnMen Square. We both enjoyed visiting the Forbidden City because it deep impressed us. For me, this is one of the most rewarding trip I have ever made in my life and am looking forward to go there again.

Tom has been in my school as exchange student for near one month. He asked me to help him prepare her trip to the Great Wall on last Friday. During the weekend, parents and I paid a visit to Datong City by train. We arrive there at about 9 am. First we went to an ancient temple, in that we saw some impressive Budda statues. It is small but beautiful. So we stayed here for nearly two hours. Then we left for the temple to go downtown. You can’t imagine what crowded the street was! My parents bought some souvenirs in the local market. Meanwhile, I collected some postcard and funny toys. As we know, Datong is famous as its noodles, so we couldn't wait to taste some in a restaurant decorating traditionally. At 5 pm, we came back home happy.

Westminster Abbey, too, was very interesting. Then just as he came out of the abbey, Pingyu heard the famous sound of the clock Big Ben ring out the hour.
The next day Pingyu was leaving to Windsor Castle. “Perhaps I will see the Queen？” she wondered as she fall asleep.

Last Sunday, I visited the Beijing Zoo with my parents. We set off very early at 7:30am, and we didn’t arrive until 9:45 am because the heavy traffic. We bought our tickets and went inside, My most favorite part was the Panda Garden, but the first animal I saw was a lion, It looked grand and royally, Then we saw some tigers. There had a bird show at 10:30 am. After the show, we go to see the monkeys. Some monkeys were jumping from one branch of the tree to another. Other were eating bananas. We had a quick lunch at one of the zoo restaurant. The food there was neither good or bad, but the price was acceptable. We paid 65 yuan on our lunch. We spent six hours in the zoo and then went home.

Li Daiyu and Liu Qi were on a trip to Canada to visit their cousins on the Atlantic coast. Rather than taking the plane all the way, they took the train from west to east crossing by Canada. The thought that they could go across whole continent was exciting.

That afternoon aboard the train, the cousins settled down in their seat. They manage to catch sight of some mountain goats or even a grizzly bear. They had learned where most Canadians live within 320 kilometers of the USA border and the population is only slightly over thirty million.

Last summer holiday, I went to visit my cousin in Dalian by bus. The journey was not so comfortably as a journey by train. After getting on the bus, I choose a seat near the window so that I could look out or enjoy the scenes from the running bus. The trees, houses and lakes on both side of the road was beautiful. The old man was sitting near me. She told me about the various places in which I should visit. I enjoyed talk with him. After seven hours I arrived at Dalian bus station and my cousin was already there waiting me.

I was selected to go on a study tour to Britain. On morning of March 27, we arrived at the airport where we were warm welcomed by our home-stay families. Soon we went to Westminster College to attend in a presentation about the school. A professor gave them a vivid but interesting introduction and we learned a lot about the college. In the followed days we visited some famous scenic spots such as Big Ben and London Eye. We took photo there. On the last day we had a farewell party when students from China and Britain put on fantastic performances including songs and dances.
From the study tour, not only had we improved our speaking skills but also we've got a much good understanding of the British culture.
