As a mind-body coach in professional sports, I work with medical staff and expert consultants every year during baseball spring training to help players prepare their bodies for the season.     1    . That’s why I provide some good tips to keep a healthy body.

Drink enough water

How much water you drink affects all the functions of your body, including your mental performance. A body water loss of just 1% to 2% can damage cognitive (感知的) function.     2    . However, the amount can vary depending on a person’s activity level.

Exercise regularly

The key to exercise’s effectiveness is consistency. With as little as 11 minutes of exercise per day, you can enjoy numerous health benefits, including increasing your life span.     3    . Because of the alternating and reciprocal (互惠的) nature of your way of walking, it offers the opportunity to tune into your body and self-assess by noticing if there are any imbalances.

Breathe better to move better

4    . In addition to reducing your heart rate, blood pressure and stress response, learning how to breathe better will improve the diaphragm (膈) function and your movement and reduce back pain. Practice taking breathing breaks a few minutes throughout your day.

    5

Sleep is essential for overall health. Adults need at least seven hours of sleep nightly, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you’re not getting that minimum amount of shut-eye, it’s time to clean up your sleep routine and start prioritizing rest.

A.Get enough sleep
B.Fall asleep as early as possible every night
C.It means you have to follow their exercise routine
D.Breathing plays a vital role in how you feel and move
E.Walking outside is a great way to get in those 11 minutes
F.To promote good health, I suggest drinking at least 1.5 liters of water daily
G.You may not be a professional athlete, but your body affects the quality of your life

【推荐1】Do you long to escape to the great outdoors and experience the thrill of nature’s beauty? If so, then tent camping is the perfect adventure for you! One of the most important “dos” when planning a tent camping trip is to choose the right campsite.     1    . So it’s essential to consider several factors before making a decision.

Location

Consider the location of the campsite. Think about how far you’re willing to travel, whether you prefer a camp in the wilderness, near a lake or river, or other recreational activities.

Facilities

2    . Some campsites offer electricity, laundry facilities or Wi-Fi. Assess your comfort needs and choose a suitable campsite for you.

Campsite Size and Privacy

If you prefer a quiet and private experience, look for campsites with greater distance or natural barriers between locations. If you are sociable, campsites with group camping options may be suitable.     3    .

Natural Surroundings

Take into account the natural surroundings of the campsite. Are you seeking breathtaking mountain views, peaceful forests, or unique lakeside landscapes? Consider the campsite’s aesthetic (审美的) appeal and natural beauty to enhance your camping experience.

    4

Evaluate the convenience of reaching the campsite. Consider the road conditions, distance from parking areas to campsites, and any required permits or passes. If you have limited mobility or are camping with young children, you may prefer a campsite that is easily accessible and doesn’t require extensive hiking.

Reviews and Recommendations

Seek out reviews and recommendations from other campers who have experienced the campsite.     5    . Pay attention to cleanliness, noise levels, and overall camper satisfaction.

A.Availability and Alternatives
B.Accessibility and Ease of Arrival
C.You can also write your own review after the camp
D.In this way you can enjoy a more social atmosphere
E.Maybe you are looking for a campsite with showers and picnic areas
F.Online resources and review websites can provide useful information
G.The campsite you select can significantly impact your overall experience

文章大意:这是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了一些应对欺凌的方法。

【推荐2】It is never easy to cope with bullying, and doing nothing in return will only result in more intense bullying.     1     But keep in mind that there is only one goal — to stop the situation from worsening.

Bullies usually hunt for people who are alone. If you are with your friends, or if you are in the company of someone, it is least likely that the bully will disturb you.     2     Sometimes, all it takes is one loyal friend who will stay by you no matter what.

Asking the bully to stop is sometimes a good way to deal with them. Bullies tend to assume that we will never speak up to them. When we do speak up for ourselves, it takes them by surprise.     3     It can make them reconsider their actions.

4     When you do not react to what they say or do no matter how hurtful it may be for you, they start to lose interest in you. They think of it as a game. When they get an emotional response from you, it satisfies their ego. But if they get nothing, they will stop bothering you because they know you are not an easy one to crack.

Plus, some of us are born comedians, who can turn almost anything into a joke. If you are one of these people, try to take advantage of your gift to turn the situation the bully has created into a joke or just say something funny. This will break the bully’s confidence and they will know that you are strong and sure about who you are.     5

A.This will make them back off.
B.Bullying comes in different forms.
C.There is no simple solution to the problem.
D.Another effective measure is to ignore them.
E.You can always shift focus to the bystanders.
F.Tell them to stop in a firm and confident voice.
G.We’re not asking you to make a huge circle of friends.

【推荐3】The mission of the National Park Service is to preserve and protect the natural and cultural resources “for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations". Want to help them achieve their mission? Here’s how:

Donate: The national parks are always short on finds (资金). You can donate items to the park bookstore, support a particular program at your favorite national park, or send funds to the National Park Foundation.

Volunteer: If you can’t donate money, consider donating your time. National park service volunteers help build paths, answer visitors’ questions and maintain (维修) buildings. Check out its site to find out more ways you can volunteer in your favorite national park.

Share scientific skills: If you have a background in science, the NPS might be able to use your skills at one of its Research Learning Centers. From collecting and analyzing samples to maintaining equipment and databases, there’s plenty to do to help preserve and protect the natural and cultural resources of our national parks.

Create art: Many national parks have artist-in-residence programs that give artists an opportunity to close to their favorite inspirational settings. You can stay at a remote cabin in Denali National Park or get an in-depth look at the history at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. The art you create can help inspire future generations to work for the national parks.

Go visit: There’s no better way to show your favorite national park some love than going there to see it. Bring a friend and take in some history and culture. It will remind you why our national parks are really “America’s Best Idea”. Oh, while you’re there, be sure to thank the park workers for all they do to support our national parks.

1. What can volunteers do to help the NPS achieve their mission?
A.Ask visitors some questions.
B.Set up a particular program.
