Last Friday, our class was invited a well-known artist to teach us what to draw flowers in Chinese painting.
As soon as an artist came into the classroom, he was given a warmly welcome. All of us wore big smiles. First, he shows us some skills of drawing a flower. We watched him carefully but each of us tried doing it by ourselves. Finally, because of my excellent performance, I was awarded “Outstanding Young Artist”. Look at the award, I felt very excited.
Through this experience, we are both amazed at Chinese painting and proud being Chinese. We hope we can have more activity of this kind in the future!

One day King Arthur saw a happy beggar and wondered why the beggar was so happy, because that the king didn’t feel happy though she could have whatever he wanted. From this we can see that one’s happiness doesn’t depend on if he is rich or poor. Happy is just a state of mind. As long as one thinks he’s satisfying, he is happy.
There are many different opinion about happiness. To some, happiness is being surrounded in their family members and friends. To others, happiness meant achieving success in something, such as meet a goal. To those who have injured, happiness can simply mean a day without suffering, or just being alive.

July 29, 2021 marks the 131st anniversary of Vincent Van Gogh’s die. As a big fan of Van Gogh, I fulfill my lifelong dream this summer by taking a trip to Europe. I first traveled to the Netherlands, where Van Gogh born and lived for most of his life. In Amsterdam I went to the Van Gogh Museum but viewed hundreds of his works, including much of his greatest paintings. Before visiting Amsterdam, I drove to Saint-Rémy. There Van Gogh, depressing and lonely as he was, he made one masterpiece after another. My last destination was Auvers-sur-Oise, where continues to keep the subjects of Van Gogh’s paintings looking just as they did when he painted them. At that moment I had never felt close to Van Gogh.
