Whenever I see this picture, I always think of the 6-day adventure（冒险）contest with ______last summer. Before the contest, I really didn’t know what to look forward to（期待）. I only knew we would do a few different things, like mountain biking and hiking.

At the beginning of the contest, my friends and I received a ______ with 20 checkpoints（关卡）of an 18-mileway. To finish the contest , we had to reach all the 20 checkpoints on the map ______six hours. The roads to the checkpoints were not ______marked（标记），so we spent a lot of time checking if we were on the right way to the next checkpoint.

One morning, Mr. Black is driving in the country and looking for the Sun Hotel. When he sees an old woman on the side of the road, he stops his car and says to the woman, “Excuse me, I want to go to the Sun Hotel. Do you know it?”

Have you heard of Sisa Abu Daooh? She comes from Egypt. In Marc, 2015, she was given the country’s highest award for motherhood.

In the early 1970s, Daooh’s husband died. Daooh and her daughter lived a very poor life. It was almost unheard-of for women in Egypt to find paid word at that time. In order to make money to support her family, Daooh had to be dressed up as a man. “I worked in Aswan wearing men’s clothes,” Daooh told The New York Times. “If I hadn’t been dressed like that, no one would have let me work.” For seven years, Daooh worked as a manual worker（手工劳动者）.She made less than a dollar a day. Later, she found a less tiring job. Now she works as a shoe cleaner.

According to a study , if women and men could work equally（平等地）, Egypt’s GDP would increase by 34%. However, even today, very few women in Egypt have jobs. Only 26% of women in Egypt work, while 79% of men have got jobs. How unfair!

Are fables（寓言故事）and fairy tales（童话故事）different or the same? They are both stories for kids, but fables are stories for adults（成年人）as well.

A fable is a story, passed down from grandparents to parents and then to children. People can learn much from it . Most of the characters are animals and nature. They can talk and do like humans. The most famous fables were written by a man called Aesop（伊索）.There are around 600 fables in Aesop’s Fables. The Fox and the Grapes and The Tortoise and the Hare are two examples.

Fairy tales are usually stories for children, often about magic characters such as fairies（仙女）and giants（巨人）.Sometimes the characters are animals. So children usually love fairy tales very much. We are able to enjoy these fairy tales because about 200 years ago Brothers Grimm（格林兄弟）traveled all around Germany and collected these stories before people forgot them. There are many fairy tales in Grimm’s Fairy Tales, such as Cinderella and The Frog Prince.

Endangered dolphins are beautiful animals that need to be saved. It may interest you to know there are about six different types of dolphins that are endangered. Many of them are river dolphins and they are very close to being lost forever if we do not take the time to care for them. The following is the reason why they are in danger.

    41     Dolphins can often get stuck（卡）in there nets and they may die. Another problem is the fact that many people and different countries will hunt for dolphins as food.

    42     When the oceans and rivers are polluted , it affects the environment where these beautiful creatures are living . It may also be important to keep in mind that the dolphin is towards the top of the food chain.     43     If these small animals are affected by the pollution as well, there really is no safe place for the dolphin to go .

    44     You can also play attention to the land around you. Do not litter and stop if you do . Spend time on the weekend cleaning up trash in your area and recycle what you can. You play a large role in this whether you believe it or not. So, find out what your role is related to endangered dolphins and work towards a positive change.

It is true that people with better education are usually able to get better paying jobs. ◆ Find something to chat（聊天）about each day. Talk about how your team did at the sports meeting. Share a thing one of your teachers said. Even small talk about what’s for dinner can keep your relationship comfortable.

◆ It’s never too late to start. if you relationship with your parents makes you feel nervous, try getting into conversations slowly. Mention the cute things the dog did. Talk about how well your little sister is doing in math. Chatting with parents every day not only keeps the present relationship strong, but can also help a might-be-worse relationship get better.
