Running is becoming popular these days. Many of us run for our health. Doctors say many heath problems come from these bad habits: eating too much, drinking too much, smoking too much and not having enough exercise.

Doctors tell us, “Eat less, don’t smoke and exercise more. Running is good exercise because it helps build a strong heart. It also helps most people lose weight (重量). One 68-year-old woman runs three times a week. She runs to lose weight.

Running is good for our health in other ways, too. Many runners say running makes colds and other small health problems go away. Running is our doctor. Running can also help people to relax. So today men and women of all ages enjoy running.

As we all know, good health and happiness are important in our life. Here are some ways to make them easy to get.

First, remember to exercise twice or three times a week. A good way to exercise is walking or running. Second, get enough sleep. It is best to get at least eight hours’ sleep a day. Do you want to sleep better? Try to listen to some light music or drink some milk before going to bed. Third, eat a balanced diet (均衡饮食). Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, some grain (谷物) and a little bit of meat. Last, go out and make friends. Spend time and have fun with them and you will be really happy.

3 . Being outgoing is good for your life. Those who are more outgoing like to meet lots of people and have more fun in life. In fact, being outgoing is not so hard as you think. Even shy people can be outgoing.

You can start becoming outgoing with your best friend. But the difficulty comes when you meet strangers or new friends. Smile more, and usually they will return your smile. In this way, you may have more talks. Start a talk, and just a simple. “Hello!” or “How is it going?” is a good start. If you want to make interesting talks, you should read news in newspapers and prepare your views (看法), or surf the Internet for new information and then keep them in mind.

The easiest way to become more outgoing is to go out. This is also the most important step. Goto a park, beach, club, party or any other place that you think can be fun.

4 . Is that Yao Ming playing basketball?! Ha! It looks like the Chinese player, but it is a robot! The Yao Ming robot was one of the many “stars” at the 2017 World Robot Conference (WRC). It was from Aug. 23 to 27 in 2017 in Beijing.

Robots from across the world came to WRC. Some can work in factories. Some go to outer space or underwater. But service robots were the big hits at the WRC. Service robots can help do many jobs in our daily lives, such as washing, teaching and playing sports.

For example, the Yao Ming robot can teach kids how to play basketball. If schools use it, it can bring lots of fun to PE classes.

Alpha 2 is a housekeeper robot. If you want to turn on the lights, or TV, just tell it before going to sleep, children may also want to hear Alpha 2 tell them a bedtime story.

A supermarket robot makes shopping easier. You can talk with the robot. It will help you find things. It also carries them for you. You can even use the robot to pay for your things.

What is the World Cup? The World Cup is an international football competition that takes place every four years. It is one of the most popular competitions in the world.

The first World Cup event was held (举办) in 1930 and it has only been canceled (取消) twice in the history of the competition—in 1942 and 1946, because of the Second World War (战争). The World Cup can take place anywhere in the world . In 2018 the host country was Russia, in 2014 it was Brazil, in 2010 it was South Africa, and this year, in 2022, the host country was the State of Qatar. There were 32 national teams participating (参与). It was the first time that a country in the Middle East was hosting the World Cup and only the second time that a country in Asia was hosting the competition.

6 . Going on vacation is a fun and relaxing way to spend time. Do you know how to have a great vacation? Here are some ideas.

Decide where you’d like to go. A few days or weeks for the vacation, make a list (列表) of five places you want to visit. Then spend time talking about each place with your friends or parents and decide on your favorite one.

Think about how to go. It depends on where the place is and how much you want to spend. And you must get enough money for your vacation. If not, you may get into trouble (陷入困境).

Find a great hotel. It’s easy to get tired during (在……期间) the vacation. So your hotel should be a good place to sleep and relax in. You can try to find a good hotel online.

Plan your activities. Think about everyone who is going with you. Try to plan activities that all of you may like to do. You should also think about how long you want to stay there.

Write down the things you need to take. Think about the things you need every day when you’re away, like umbrellas and clothes. Don’t forget to take anything necessary during your travel.

10 . Do you hope to do a lot of homework every evening? Are you interested in your classes? Who do you want to be taught by? Maybe you have lots of questions in your mind before school starts.

Well, I want to give you some good advice on these problems.

First, keep calm (平静的). Don’t worry about all the questions you have. Put your heart into learning, and you can find something you are interested in.

Second, try your best to finish your homework quickly. Don’t spend a lot of time on it. Do more reading or writing in English. Don’t stay up late, or you can’t study well the next day.

Third, think of something instead of copying or repeating. If you can remember the words in your way, you can tell your teachers you don’t like the way of copying them again and again. If you are sure you can pass tests well, I think your teachers will agree with you. And they can give you something interesting to do.

School is really a good place for you to learn. Believe in your teachers and yourself.
