文章大意:本文主要介绍了未来世界的一些新技术的优点和缺点。

1 . What will the world of tomorrow look like? Many people today believe that technology is going to help solve some of the most difficult problems we have on the earth today. New technology may solve old problems, and it may also create new ones. ________ Each has advantages and disadvantages, as these three examples.

When we dream about the future, many of us think that we will be able to fly to the skies in our own personal flying cars. We could fly at 480 km per hour, avoiding traffic lights and busy roads. However, there will be problems with traffic control.

3D printing is another new technology for the future. 3D printers are already used to make life-size models of car parts, and man-made body parts, such as ears. As we move into the future, 3D printing will change the way we make things and the way we treat sick people. The disadvantage is that such a machine is very expensive.

Finally, people are trying to build a robot suit. This is an electronic suit. It allows people to lift heavy things and walk a long way. It might help people walk again after an illness or an accident. However, one disadvantage at the moment is the cost.

Looking ahead, it is easy to imagine a future. We’ll be able to fly to work, print out a new pair of shoes or lift a car above our heads. Although there are some problems to solve before all of this is possible, we can certainly dream of a world. In this world, technology makes people’s lives easier and safer. It can solve some of the most difficult problems we have today.

文章大意:本文主要介绍了作者不再拍假期照片的原因。

2 . For many people, they wouldn’t travel around without taking photos with their phones or cameras. And then they often post them online to share with others. However, I went on holiday last month and didn’t take any photos. That was not because I wasn’t having a good time. In fact, I had the best experience ever and lots of good memories(记忆).

My two weeks’ stay was really relaxing. Without the tiring job of trying to take perfect photos of every ancient building and delicious meal, I had more time to truly enjoy the moment.

________ However, it’s not the fact. You’re just making up that memory by doing so.

Linda Henkel, a teacher at Fairfield University, carried out a study in 2014 with 28 university students. She asked those students to watch 15 objects(物体)with their own eyes and take photos of 15 others in a museum. The next day, they had less memory of the objects that they had taken photos of. Linda said it was because they believed that the camera would “remember” things for them, so they wouldn’t watch the objects carefully.

Unluckily, most of us are just like the students. We aren’t able to enjoy the moment because of taking too many photos. So maybe it’s time that we should put down our phones more often in order to enjoy the holiday with our loved ones.

文章大意:本文主要讲述了态度对人的人生历程是非常重要的。

3 . What’s the most important thing for you to have in your life? Somebody says it’s work. Others suggest it’s knowledge, love or luck.

If you put the 26 English letters in order and use numbers to represent(代表)each of them, for example, 1 for a, 2 for b, 3 for c…26 for z, you can change an English word into a number. So work becomes 23+15+18+11=67.67 is its mark. Knowledge: 11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5=96, love: 12+15+22+5=54, and luck: 12+21+3+11=47, a small mark. None of these words can give us 100 marks. What about money? It can’t, either.

Then what else? Don’t be worried. You can always find an answer to a problem in your life, when you change your way of looking at things or doing things, or your attitude. Yes, “attitude” is the word. See for yourself: attitude: 1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5=100, a full mark!

Different attitudes lead to different ways of living a life. Most of the time people hope for a better life. It is possible that we will have a better life if we change our attitudes. When you change your behavior and become friendly to others, you’ll meet more smiling faces to you. In the same way, if you take a positive(积极的)attitude facing failure, you’ll find it’s also helpful to you though it has made you lose something.

1. What is the mark of the word “money” according to the passage?
A.96.B.72.C.62.
2. What does the word “attitude” mean?
A.态度.B.环境.C.文化程度.
3. According to the passage, if you meet with problems, the best way is to ________.
A.ask others for helpB.hope to be luckyC.change your attitude
4. You can make more friends by ________.
A.hoping for more friendsB.becoming friendly to othersC.learning the 26 English letters
5. From the passage we can learn that ________.
A.math can solve every problem easily in our life
B.different attitudes come from the same way of living a life
C.sometimes difficulties can bring you good if you take a positive attitude
