On the morning of a usual (寻常的) school day, a lot of students from a middle school in Nanjing are doing setting-up exercises during the break (课间). Three boys in the back are lost in it and do well. It’s time for fans to say goodbye to the US tennis superstar, Serena Williams. On Sept 2nd, the 40-year-old lost against Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round of the US Open. Hainan gibbons look like monkeys, but they have no tails (尾巴). They live all of their lives in trees. They eat fruit and leaves. It the rainforest is destroyed (破坏) just a little bit, they can go hungry. In the 1980s, there were 10 gibbons in the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park. But now there are 36. It’s all thanks to the hard work of some people. They protect (保护) the gibbons’ homes and plant about 300, 000 trees to give them more food.
