A feeling of excitement overcame me as I looked around the stadium. At 5:30 pm, two hours before the game time, I walked into the locker room（更衣室）. My thoughts of school, music and what I planned     1     (do) on Saturday night were replaced with the simple aim     2     (beat) the football team across the field from us tonight. Approaching my locker（衣物柜）, I noticed my teammates     3     (make) preparations. Some rested on benches, staring up at the ceiling as if it were a film of the opposing team’s play. A reporter from Jiangsu Province went to Australia and some other countries with his father for a 3-month trip,     1     turned out to be a miracle (奇迹).

For some US college students, a break from school is a time to volunteer to help communities in need. They take school sponsored (赞助)trips to do voluntary work.

This spring break, I had the opportunity to go on one of these     1    (trip), and it was the best week of my entire life. I went with 12 other students and two adults down to Rocky Mount, North Carolina in the US. We worked on three houses，     2    (build)roofs, painting, and landscaping.

    3    was very rewarding to see how much we were     4    (true)appreciated by the people living in that town. Every time we went out somewhere     5    dinner, we had   people come up to us to express their     6    (appreciate).
