We’ve all heard that laughter is the     1    (good) medicine, and it’s true. Laughter makes you feel better and it’s also good     2    your relationships. Laughter brings people closer, and is a     3    (power) tool for making you relax when feelings are running high. Whether with your friends and family, or co-workers, you can learn to use humor     4    (solve) disagreements, lower everyone’s stress levels, and communicate in a way that deepens the relationships.

Humor plays     5    important role in all kinds of relationships. In new relationships, humor can be a useful tool not just for     6    (attract) the other person but also for getting over any awkwardness (尴尬) arising when we get to know each other. For some US college students, a break from school is a time to volunteer to help communities in need. They take school sponsored (赞助)trips to do voluntary work.

This spring break, I had the opportunity to go on one of these     1    (trip), and it was the best week of my entire life. I went with 12 other students and two adults down to Rocky Mount, North Carolina in the US. We worked on three houses，     2    (build)roofs, painting, and landscaping.

    3    was very rewarding to see how much we were     4    (true)appreciated by the people living in that town. Every time we went out somewhere     5    dinner, we had   people come up to us to express their     6    (appreciate). At the end of the trip, I came home with not only     10    great sense of fulfillment but also 14 really good new friends.

Raron Weaver was born on April 14^th,1998 with only his left eye. It was very likely that this disability would come with brain damage. The chances are     1     he would have brain damage, yet he didn’t. He went through 25 operations and     2     (receive)a false eye.

When he was in the 4^th grade he dreamed of     3    (become)a writer and he carried that dream with him throughout his life. However, he faced a great many     4    (difficulty).

From his first day of preschool to his last day of high school, he was looked at    5    (strange )by others. People would call him names like “cyclops(独眼龙)”and would tell him that he was     6     mistake. Along with this, suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder(强迫症)made it difficult for him    7    (do)normal activities.

In 2016 he graduated from high school with the support of a loving family     8     the help of teachers and friends. He began to write a book and a year later he completed his book. In late2017 The Human Apocalypse    9     (publish) and it is now being sold through several     10    (difference) ways.
