As the proverb goes, “Good habits benefit from you all your life.” Enter high school, I was crazy about fast food and ate too much. My name is Adam and I’m the freshman at senior high school. Going from junior high school to senior high school are a really big challenge. The first week was a little confused.
First, I had to think very carefully about what courses I wanted to take. The school adviser helped me choose the suit ones: maths, English, chemistry, world history, and Chinese. My adviser recommended that I should sign up for advanced literature because I like English and I’m good at it.
I had to choose extra-curricular activity, too. I tried to join the school football team, but the coach told me that I didn’t play well enough. Obvious, I was unhappy, but I won’t quit. I’ll find a way improve on my own so that I can make the team next year.

Last Sunday, I went to the zoo where there were a lot of child visiting elephants, monkeys and pandas. They looked very happily. I was about to leave while I found a little boy crying in the zoo. I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I’ll be able to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can’t accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard work. Beside, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn’t be forbidden to watch TV.
Last summer I have an unusual experience. It was raining hardly. Because of this, the river near my town rose but flooded some of the rice fields. The villagers, included me, went to the dam to make them strong. The PLA soldiers also came to help us. We fought hard for three days. On the end the dam was saved and our village protected from the flood. Though I became very tired after I returned home, but I was very happy. I learned many things from the villager and the soldiers. I also learned a lots from my unusual experience.
