As the spring semester came to close, the Pierce College Art Department celebrated with our last presentation of the semester. The Art Gallery showcases more than 100 pieces, included pencil drawings, cardboard 3D design, art made out of clay and wood sculpting. For most of the art students, it was amazing to see and interacting with not only their peers but their professors through over the screen online. There was also an award ceremony hold for students for their outstanding work but perseverance throughout the semester. A student expressed how happy he was to receive the award with his exciting voice, “Art has helped me evolve via different medium.”

Lucy has awarded the title of “Star Student of the Week” for what she did for our class. On the hot afternoon of last Saturday, Lucy went downtown and walked from the one store to another, looking for the costumes we would wear for the singing contest. Spending almost a full day in the car with a woman who age was 69 could be bored for a 17-year-old high school student. For me, though, this was the best way end 2021 and begin the new year.

Why should students wear school uniforms? In my opinion, school uniforms comfortable to wear. Here are several reasons what were once given by my classmates. Firstly, school uniforms promote safety. When children with school uniforms are walking on the roads, they can clear be seen by vehicle drivers. Wearing uniforms also save time for students as they don’t need to waste their valuable time decide what to wear every morning. Besides, school uniforms are a lot cheap compared with branded clothes. Years ago when I was a child, that my friends and I liked most was to go to the movie theatre. Before coming there, we saved up the money for the tickets. One day, six of us went to the movie theatre. But when we arrive there, one of my friend, Mike, found he didn’t have enough to get in. Looked really sad, he told us to get in. He would wander in the supermarket nearby, waiting us. Of course, we didn’t let our friend stand outside, so we all paid for her. None of us had any money leaves and had to walk home, so we were quite happy.

Last year, I studied in Ireland and made many friends from different countries. Yesterday, I receive a letter from a Spanish friend, which brought back my memories of studying in Ireland. She told me about some of the other people I met them in Ireland. She also said that two of my other friend would write to me from Italy. I felt happily and lucky because I made the lot of good friends when I was in Ireland. It was really interested for me to meet people from so much different countries. I think that we not only improved our English, but also got know people from all over the world and this is of great important. I will never forget this experience which influence on me is for life.

Do you know how it is like to be a Senior Three student? Well, let me give you an example. It was a math test, for which I have prepared for a long time. So much importance I attach to it that I even felt a little nervous before a test. My heart began to beat wild immediately I took my seat in the classroom. When I looked at the test paper, our mind went blank. I attempted to focus and it was impossible. So I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, try to calm down. It worked. Gradually I recovered from my calmness. Feeling relaxing, I picked up my pen and began to write.
