Yesterday I was watching television at home while I suddenly remembered that it was my father's birthday the next day. I put my coat on me, and ran outside in the hurry to catch a bus. It fills my heart with two feelings until I pick up my pen to write to you. One is the great joy of having landed a foreign country for post-graduation. The other, obviously, is the sadness of be away from you all.
I actually felt tired after having travelled by air for such many hours. Then getting settling also exhausted me. Although the college and the lecturers are the second to none in perfectness, at several moments I felt like bursting into tear. I felt extreme homesick. Finally, that has not been overcome totally, so far. Yes, one had to be strong, in the end.

In the past three years, many activities had been organized by our school. What impressed me mostly was an activity calling “Learning to Farm”. In an autumn afternoon, we went to a farm, where we learned knowledge and had many fun. Having been in the city for such a long time, we were more than happy to go to a countryside. After we arrived, we divided into three groups. Some students learned how to raise pigs, some worked in the garden, and the other helped the farmers with the work in the fishpond. It was not until it was totally dark when we stopped working. Though we were tired out but we felt pleased on our way back home.

One major characteristic of decorative knotwork is that all the knots is tied by using one piece of thread, which is usually about one meter in the length. When I was twelve, I went to a soccer field for the first time. I found hard to drag myself away from it. But all I could do were to make a paper one instead, so I didn’t have enough money to buy a football. Every day on my way home, I couldn’t help kick whatever on the road could be kicked.
Several weeks late， I felt I was on top of the world. While I got home，a real black and white ball was waiting for me on my desk, in which was my birthday present from my parents. In order to encourage students to take outdoors activities，our school organized a mountainclimbing activity at July 10th.Hundreds of us took the part in it.
