A few years ago on a vacation trip, I made a video of myself dance wildly in foreign places. I put it on the Internet. Some friends started passing them around and soon millions of people watched it. I was offered money to continue my travels. And since then, I had made two more travel video that include seventy countries. Many people wanted to dance along with me, because I started inviting them to join me. People want to feel connect to each other. They want to heard and seen, and they’re curious to hear and see others from places far away. I share with that idea. It’s exactly which drives me to travel. When I dance with people, I see them smile and laugh, which makes me truly exciting.

Last week, I participated the School Art Festival. Our school band was invited to put on a performance at the open ceremony. As a member of the band, I practiced hard but made full preparations for it. Unfortunate, there was something wrong with our equipments before the show began. With the help of our music teacher, we deal with the problem successfully and completed the performance, that made us receive loud applause from the audience. After their performance, I watched other performances. I was impressed by the talents of my fellow students and had a great fun. I felt proud to be part of this Art Festival and grateful to have so wonderful classmates.

Last week, one of my favorite day arrived — the Library’s Book Sale Day. When my mom and I waited in line, the workers chatted in the front of us. It seems that my English teacher, Miss Smith, real loves both English or teaching the subject. I think she influence me in two important way. Firstly, she makes me interesting in English. Now I was used to reading English books and watching English TV programs in my spare time. Secondly, she shows me how a teacher can use the students’ own creativity help them learn. Instead of just being a kind of audience for lessons, we take a part in the decision on which happens in the lessons. If I ever have to teach anything in the future, I’ll copy his method.

I can’t believe how this simple thing changed my life so many! I used to complaining to myself and others all time. Then, I realized that this negative thinking only made us feel worse about the things that already happened. The world is never going to be perfect. However, I failed to realize this fact, but was never happy. Now I can accept when things aren’t going to as I planned and when I can’t do anything about it. I have made space to focus on good things and peoples around me. Beside, I can had constructive conversations with myself. I can accpet the imperfection of my life, and final be happy about the things I have!

Yang Liping is a good dancer, which passion is dancing. After win a national competition in 1986 with her Spirit of the Peacock dance, she has been known to the “Peacock Princess”.
