In our English class yesterday, we had a lesson, during what we learned about how body language is crucially in communication. Body language includes various type, like facial expressions, gestures, postures, and eye contact. Facial expressions like smiling or frowning show our emotions, while gestures like waving or pointing helps us express ourselves. Our postures, eye contact also send messages.
Body language is important because it assists us to understanding others better. It adds meaning to what they say and can show our feelings. Moreover, it’s important to be aware to cultural differences in body language. Paid attention to body language, we can not communicate more effectively and avoid misunderstandings.

This year, our city is carrying out a program, called on everyone to throw rubbish into the right dustbin according to the four categories. Teachers and students in our school take a active part in the activity. In order to protect our environment, the waste classification activity is launching. People are required to sort garbage into different category such as harmful waste, recyclables and kitchen waste, that are supposed to be thrown into right bins. Last Sunday, my parents and me went to the countryside, which we had a great time together. To make it a green journey, we all agree to cycle there. With everything ready, we set out. I flew back to New York from a spring break. My flight landed lately in the evening. I decided to taking an airport bus to the downtown area so that I could find a faster and cheap taxi to get home. It turned out that a bus was full of passengers but I was chatting with a few of them. I told that it was unsafe to be waiting for in the street to catch a taxi at midnight. One of the woman in the bus said that her car was parked near the station. So she offered me a ride to my home, drop me safely and did not accept a penny in return. I was so thankful for his kindness.

These days, breaking traffic rules and littering is not uncommon, what causes serious harm to life and the environment. Changing this situation requires everyone effort. As for me, it should start on the way school. If I ride a bicycle, I’ll always keep ridden along the right and never cross a road until the traffic light turns green. If I walk, I’ll never forget to get use the zebra crossing. Meanwhile, I’ll regard them as my duty to help keep our environment clean and healthily.
Not only will I keep from littering but spitting anywhere, but I’ll help clean up the roadside litter whenever possible. I hoped my behaviour will make a difference.

As a little child, I liked to stay at my grandparents’ home during the summer holiday. That impressed me was helping them with their housework and farm work. Beside, I usually did my homework for only an hour in the evening. I spent most of my time played with the kids in the neighborhood. We go fishing together and explored the nearby forest several time. I also taught them to learn speaking English. We even used English to communicate each other. A number of days ago, a bird came to my front yards and made a sound like chichi chi. She was like a hungry person but stared at me with great hope. I give her some food and she started eating extreme fast immediately. After eating, she looked at me and started singing a very calm voice. It was as if she were saying thanks to me. That moment were very touching. With happy tears well up in my eyes, I felt a true happiness in my heart. It was so value and pleasant a moment for me what I would never forget it.

With the Spring Festival come, there will be a long winter holiday. However, I am not going to travel somewhere, because I don’t want to join the crowds. With the development of society and economy, the number of private cars are increasing at a surprising speed. As we all know it, cars give off poisonous gas, cause global warming, frequent natural disasters, diseases and so on. In order to protecting our environment, it is high time that we should go green.
