As we all know, being a teacher is not easy job. A teacher who has to play too many roles like an educator, a guide, a conductor, a director and sometimes a parent, either! We all have at least one favorite teacher more like a friend to us in our lives, but we are always sincerely grateful to them for all the love and guidance. The hard work, time and patience that teachers devote with students, without doubt, is beyond compare. They are simply strong pillars behind building any nation. They work tireless without any complaint to enrich the lives of on-going generations. To acknowledge the amazed value of their efforts, we are supposed to send them special cards or gifts on their graduation day. In this way, we would be able to deliver our thanks to those inspirational teacher in the most beautiful manner.

The strongest typhoon this year hit our city at the Mid-autumn Festival, which resulted from more than 10 billion yuan of economic loss. I still remember the night when the typhoon strike the city. I was having a sound sleep while I heard the sound of a vase falling down. I was indeed frightening and worried about the windows in my room. Luckily, it were firm enough and just a little rainwater fell into my room. After while I felt the building was shaking and I had failed to fall asleep. In that tough night I could only hear the howling wind. How terrible! With musics playing, I finally fell asleep, wondering how it would be like in the coming morning.

Mary Daniel is a student in England. This year she had a very interested summer holiday. He traveled with fifteen others people to the Tuwenzori Mountains in Africa. They went there to help make a road through a forest among two big towns. “It was very difficult because of there was no water to drink and no shops that we could buy food,” said Mary. “It was also very cold and wetter in the mountains. It is one of the wettest place in the world. ” Mary stays in the mountains for six weeks. It was hard work, but she said it was best thing she had ever done. She is hoping to return next year to do some more woke there.

Qi Baishi (1946-1957) was one of China’s great painter. He worked with wood during his early youth.Then between 1902 and 1909, he travelled across the country and painted many picures of scenery. His interest changed later simple pictures from everyday life, such as vegetables, flowers, birds, and insects. Cabbage is a well-known example of Qi’s works. The tiny insect near the cabbage has some red on it back. Its black eyes, which are fix on the cabbage, shows the creature’s interest in the vegetable. Qi Baishi’s style of paint often leaves the audience guess and makes them to use their imagine.

I am a student from a key school. However, I find myself tiring of studying all these days, that worries me a lot. Though I often got high marks in exams, I don’t like them at all. I often think all the subject will become useless while I grow up except English. So I am eager to learn English but practice English in my spare time. But I have to spend most of my time solve problems in maths and chemistry to prepare for the college entrance examination. I also can’t afford live up to my parents’ high expectations. I am in the trouble. How do you think I should do with this situation?

The spring festival is the more important holiday for the Chinese people. There are many traditional activity to celebrate the festival, such as to do a thorough cleaning to having a new look for the new year, to paste handwritten couplets(对联) on front doors to bring a good luck. On some areas, people conduct Yangge dance and lion dance to increase the festival atmosphere. Also, people prepared a variety of foods treat the family, friends and relatives. The festival lasts for 15 days. It’s usually the biggest family gathering for most families, but everyone is supposing to go home to join the celebration. Train and airplane tickets are very difficulty to get before the festival.

Today our class went on trip to a forest. We went there by bus. It took us two hours to get to there. When we arrived, we walked through the forest in groups of two and three. We wrote down all the wildlife and plant we could see as we walked. When we found a unknown plant, we wrote it down in our notebooks.

At lunchtime we have a picnic in the open air. Later in the afternoon we returned back. To our joy, we not only learned anything new, but also enjoyed myself very much. I hope I’ll have another chance to go out for a more interested outing.

I need to be in my office by nine o’clock so I usually get up on seven o’clock. I travel to work on “the tube”. That’s what people called the underground in London. It takes about fifty minute. Usually, it’s so crowd that I can’t find anywhere to sit. I just stand. I’m always tired before I arrive work. I spend all morning check numbers. Lunch is always simple. I often get a sandwich in a nearby sandwich shop or I just have some biscuits and a cup of coffee. Because in the afternoon, I return to the paperwork in the office. On Monday nights, I have dance classes, and on Wednesday nights, I go to the gym. I need to do that because of I don’t get enough exercise otherwise. On Tuesday and Thursday nights, I have French classes. I work as a French company so I think study French will help me in my job.
