Everyone has many first-time experience and so do I. Now I’d like share with you the first time I tried cooking by myself. One Sunday my parents go out. I felt hungry at the noon, so I decided to cook for myself. I tried to cook some vegetables, so the pot caught fire where I put some oil into it. Lucky, my mother came back and helped me put off the fire. Although my first cooking did not success, I felt proud of myself. It was the start of try something new. Now I’ve become quite a good cook.

I was very glad to have an excellent chance to visit and studied in Beijing last year. It is one of largest and most attractive city in the world. It offers visitors thousands of things to do, included visiting museums, beautiful parks but historical sites. I soon fell in love to Beijing because of their rich culture and history. I liked having a cup of black tea and walking along the river in the afternoon.
More important, people in Beijing were so friendly that they were always kindly helped me whenever I was in trouble. I will never forget my interested days in Beijing.

The old saying “The early bird catches the worm.” show us the importance of planning, working hard and trying constantly. To achieve outstanding results, the most people must plan ahead and work hard to overcome all kind of difficulties.
That has been my own experience, either. When I first started at high school, I seldom passed my exam, so I never prepared well. Later, my teacher, Mr. Black, advised me plan everything in advance. She asked me to study hard as well. After a year of put his advice into practice, I can now easy pass all my exams.

The best advice I received in my childhood was from my dad. He always gives me some advice, but I seldom took them seriously. One day he was encouraged me to participate in a speech competition. I am David. As a eighteen-year-old student in Senior 3, there have always a new challenge just around the corner! At times they can be quite stressful, which in turn makes me feel very worry. In order to help deal this, I go jogging as often as possibly. Whether I’m at the gym and on the road, my nervous energy push me through mile one. By mile two, the tension has moved from my mind to my leg. By the end of the run, all my stress has been disappeared and I am ready to meet more challenges with confidence the next day!

Dear Tony,
Recently our school had set up a rule that no students are allowed to take their mobiles into their class. Among we students, it has aroused a heated discussion, in that we put forward different ideas.
Many of the students are strong opposed to the rule, argued that the mobile has become a necessary part of our life. We also consider it must for us to get relaxing from our busy studies.
As for me, I hold a different view. While a mobile phone can help us get some relief, without it we can be more devoted to our studies. Meanwhile we can spare more time to communicate with those around us. Therefore, I believe in that this school rule is beneficial to all student.

Working on the farm was quite a experience! Our teacher told us that how a city farm in our neighbourhood was looking for young people to helping with the animals. City farms were a great way for people to get amazed experiences of country life. We can learn more about animals and plant and even take part working on the farm. So I spoke to the manager, but a few days later I was looking after the horses on the farm. I was proud of myself when he helped a young boy to ride a horse for the first time. It real meant a lot to him and to me!
