As modern technology brings so much convenient to us, traditional things are fading away. Take paper-cutting in example. When I was very small, it was too popular that most women could cut all kind of interesting shapes. Today I found that most of them had stopped to cutting paper, because they could buy it at a very lower price. Besides, young people don’t learn such art as paper-cutting, for they think this is not necessary to learn old-fashion things. Personal, tradition should not abandoned. I remember my school days being cheerful and fun while learning many lessons about life. Even though I was able to acquire knowledge from textbooks, the lesson of friendship, teamwork, hard work and discipline I learnt outside the classroom remained closely to my heart.
My school days would not be completed without my friends in school. Each year, I got new friends and teachers with who I shared my dreams, doubts or worries. Along with play silly jokes on others, we used to go to the school canteen and got what we liked to eat. We also shared our lunch boxes and complimented the food that made by our mothers. My school days were filled such happy memories, and I am grateful to my school for shaping us as a good student.
When I was a little boy, I see a science fiction film. It was about the future world, in that the way people lived was so astonished. What made I especially surprised was that they could drive cars in the sky! Since now, I have been curious the future world. Just about 100 years ago, flying in the sky seemed impossible, but now we can travel around a world by plane. With the latest achieve in technology, we can deal with most of our problem. Now we can even pay our bills online. I believe that the future world will become a much more nicer place than what it is.

Yesterday I took my brother to a Father’s Day event in the city library. We quickly checked in and found two seat. At beginning, a lady shared a popular origin of Father’s Day with us. A few minutes late, she told a true story. It’s about a selfish father who sacrificed herself in the flood for the life of his daughter. It moved to us deeply. Finally, she gave each of us a bag of colored paper or taught us what to make a beautiful card. On received the gift, my father say nothing but gave us a big hug, with tears rolling down.

Last week, my mother and I fly from Los Angeles to Chicago to celebrate our sister’s graduation. We decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel while staying in a city. So we checked into this hotel after a rough flight but we were not disappointed.
Its location could not have been better off, as we were offered the easiest access to Chicago’s cultural and shopping center. After a long day of exploring the city, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner in the hotel’s dining room where allowed us to overlook the beautiful city. The waiters were unbelievable helpful and made us feel very welcome with some friendly talks. The beef was cooking just right. I would recommend this hotel anyone traveling in Chicago!

I’m so sorry that I didn’t attend the lecture on British literature in this Sunday morning. Now, I am writing to express the reasons.

Today we made paper airplane. Our teacher said, “We will see which airplane flies the farther.” Of course, I wanted mine to fly farther than other airplanes. We stood at the front of the class and took turns throw our airplanes. The teacher had a ruler. She measured what far each airplane travelled. Some airplanes did not go far, which it flew only two metres and then fall to the floor. Most travelled seven or eight metres.
It was her turn. I stood at the starting line but I threw it as hard as I was able to. I eager watched it fly high above the floor. After about six seconds, it landed at the back of the room.
“Ten metres!” said our teacher.

When I was on my way to school on last Saturday afternoon, I saw a mother and her son preparing go across the street. A mother was going to run the red light while her son prevented her. Last night, my parents told me that we will have a picnic with my uncle Peter and their family in a park. I was so excited as I could hardly fall asleep. This afternoon, we met in the park at 3:00. The adult sat on the ground, talking about the work and family issues. My cousins and I went away fly kites. At first, we tried but failed to make it. Therefore, we didn’t give up easy. Instead, we helped with each other and finally we all succeeded. After that, we enjoyed the delicious food bringing from home and appreciated the beautiful scenery of the park. For me, it was the truly relaxing day.
