Dr Yuan Longping is a agricultural pioneer in China.He graduates from Southwest Agricultural College in 1953.Since then he has devoted himself to find ways to grow more rice.The rice farmers are now producing twice as larger harvests as before by using the kind of rice he bred.But he is not satisfied with his work.Although now he leads a rich life,but he still insists on his work to develop his rice.I think his work is real important to the world.Because of he hard work,the production of food been improved.Thanks for Yuan Longping’s research,we have more tools in the battle to rid the world of hungry.

I first met Li Ming at a friend birthday party five years ago. Then I invited Li Ming over in my place. We listened to my CDs together and soon become best friends. Three years ago, Li Ming’s parents invited I to spend two wonderful week in Qingdao with them during the summer holiday. Li Ming and I loved walking along the beautifully beaches there. Last year I was ill but had to stay in hospital for a week. Li Ming came see me every day. Then his father changed his job and they moved to another city. Since then we aren’t seen each other much, but we’ve kept being writing to each other.

Some students have always been very efficient (效率高的) at schoolworks, among whom, Li Lin, a monitor of our class, is an example. When asking why he was always so productive, Li responded that this was some good habits that benefited him greatly and helped him to be efficient. Because he believes that efficiency depends on good organization, he has strictly following plans. Besides, he makes full use of his time. He listens attentive and takes notes in class. After class, not only he finish his homework but also he makes sure that he has reviewed that he learned timely. This is Li Lin, from him we can learn that a student’s good performance is closely connected with his better habits.

Ten years ago, I was in great depress. I worked hard at piano learning and devoted all my spare time to learn it. But I failed to pass the B level test, that made me quite disappointed. So I turned my mother for help when I got home. Hearing of what I told her, she smiled, “Test results sometimes cannot really show my ability and level. However, your progress should not be judged only by one test.” She encouraged me to work hardly for the next year’s B Level Test. I take my mother’s advices. To my excited, now the B level test is in front of me, and I’ve realized that the process of learning is more important.

Last week, I have an accident in parking lot beside my house. I was just going around the corner when a man crashed into him with his shopping basket. It was impossible to see each other after the accident because the corner was very darkness and the lights didn’t even work. So I fell, got knocked out and was serious hurt. Although the parking lot paid for the accident, but I still want to give some advices to the parking lot. Always get the lights checking at least once a week and make sure the floor is dry all the time, that would help make the parking lot a safer place.

Visiting friends is one of the most common thing in our daily life. Usually, it is politely to call a friend before your visit, so close friends often drop in on each other without calling. Some people like surprise visits from their friends, but some people did not. In the USA, those people don’t like surprise visits may tell his friends to call before they come. This is acceptable because the most people are very busy. Drop in at a busy time can cause problems for the person visiting and the person visited. It’s a good idea to ask a friend if he or she mind your just dropping in without calling. What you aren’t sure whether your friends welcome surprise visits, call first.

As we all know, everyone have a dream. I have dreamed of being a doctor since I entered into the primary school. Nowadays with modern life go rapidly, many people suffer from different kind of disease, both mentally and physically. As a result, doctors are in greet need at home and abroad. My dream is to become successful doctor, helping to save people’s lives. Although to be a good doctor was very difficult, I will do whatever I can to keep everyone health. To make dream come true, I have told me over and over again that I will concentrate to studies, after all, only by working hardly can one succeed.

My father often took me to his hospital when I was off my school. He showed me how his medical instruments was used. I felt so closely to him. However, after I went to high school, somehow I become distant from him. I was unwilling talk with him and often disobeyed his rule of not stay out with my friends too late. The disagreement was too sharp that neither he nor I knew what to settle it. One day, he talked with me or hoped to mend our relations. With the efforts made by all sides, we began to understand each other better.
