Last Sunday, my father wanted to make breakfast for we. He got all the things prepare in the kitchen. The recipe he chose looked easily, with a picture of a delicious breakfast. He followed the recipe and waited with patient. However, instead of the delicious breakfast he hoped for, it was turned out to be a total mess. He try to fix it. The other day, I discover I couldn't move my right arm and fingers after sleeping through a flight. Having diagnosed me with neural injury, the doctor suggested I could try acupuncture(针灸). So I followed his advices and began my treatment. Dozens tiny needles were inserted across my arm and fingers. I dared not move, because even a small change of position could cause a acute pain. Today is Mother’s Day. I love mother so much that I’ve done many things for him. In the morning I buy some flowers with my pocket money and put them on a vase. Last Friday, our school held a activity about forest fire prevention. Over 500 teachers and students take part. First, we watched several short video about how forest fires start, how dangerous they can and what to do to prevent them. I love doing houseworks. I always assist his parents in doing the dishes after meals. I also water the flowers on the yard and tidy up my own bedroom whenever necessarily. In my opinion, students can be benefit a lot from doing some housework. Firstly, doing housework are helpful for us to be a responsible person. Also, it gives our parents more time to do what they like and it improve the family relationship. What’s more, doing housework can be form of mental relaxation from study. The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Double Fifth Festival, is celebrated in the 5th day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. It is one of the major Chinese festival with a history of over 2,000 years.
The Dragon Boat Festival is in memory of Qu Yuan, an honest minister and poet who committed suicide by drowning him in the Miluo River. Yesterday I met a young student, that came from the USA, in the Palace Museum. It was first time that I had met a foreigner, so I went to greet him with English. He told me that he was a college student traveling in China and he likes China very much. I offered to show him around to the museum. He was impressing by the Chinese culture and busy taking photo all the time. He said he hadn’t seen such beauty buildings before. After that, we went boating and had a good time together. I was very glad to having the chance to share our culture with a foreigner and practice his spoken English as well.
