Josie and I wanted a dog more than anything else. Whenever we had time, we’d sit together and talk about dogs. “You’re so silly, Jake,” Josie would say. “Bulldogs (斗牛犬) are scary.” “Hah. He said he knew Sam still needed to finish school, but that when he graduated, he would be happy to offer Sam a job in the company.
