Dear Sir,
Thank you for invite me to the summer English courses in your school .As for my choice between the two courses , I prefer the four-week course because of it will allow me more time to do traveling but make a little new friends . Of all the subject I’m learning at school, I like English best. I had been learning English for eleven years but my spoken English is poorly .So I really hope to take this chance to improve them. If possible, I’d like to stay with a family for a couple of days in order that I can know some customs in England, that I’m particularly interested in. I believe I will have good time this summer.

When I started learning Chinese, I was telling that it would take me 10 years to become fluent. However, I’m still working at it 27 years late.
Due to our work on television, some Chinese language learners may think my Chinese is very good. But every day I’m reminded of why I don’t know and how much more there is to learn about.
Gaining fluency in Chinese is marathon and a lot of things may effect how long it will take, from the classes you take, to find a good teacher. And different people have different ideas on fluency. I consider fluency as the ability to read or understand newspapers, magazines and to engage in daily conversations. Who care how long it takes? Just do it and you’ll love it!

My speaking English used to be very poor. I thought I could never make any progresses in it. A new English teacher suggests that I should read aloud every day. And in the beginning, I could hardly go on. There were too much new words. I didn’t want study English any more. Just then, the teacher asked him not to give up. Then I kept read aloud for half an hour every day. It gets better now. I have even taken the first place in our school’s English contest, so I know the important of persistence(坚持).

My English was not good previous. But I have done whatever I could to improving my English in the past two years. First, I forced myself to memorize at least several new words every day. It is huge importance to learn English well. Seconds I went over the basic rules of grammars every week, which my English teacher expected me to master it. Third, I read short English articles and then wrote a English composition every others day. I neither want to get low marks in reading or hope to get low marks in writing. Now my English is improving day by day, and I hoped I am prepared for the come College Entrance Examination.
