1 . One afternoon, while staying with friends at their house there, my husband and I decided to go for a walk along the traffic-free country road in the area. We met a beautiful Golden Retriever. He seemed exceptionally friendly so we stopped to play with him, throwing a stick which he retrieved（取回）several times happily. When we continued our walk, he followed us. At a safe distance, we looked back and saw the five dogs heading back toward their house. But the Golden Retriever was nowhere in sight. I felt an ache in my heart; I missed our friend already.
With a feeling of emptiness, we made our way back to the house, hoping the whole way that we would see him again. But it was not to be.
When I told our friend about the encounter, her eyes flew wide open as she exclaimed, "It was an angel!"

The two were found just 300 meters from the truck at 7 a. m. on Sunday.
Okada's body was down over his daughter, gently holding her in his arms and using his body and a wall to provide shelter. The small girl was taken to hospital, where she was found to have no serious injuries. Her father was officially pronounced dead by doctors at the same hospital.
The newspaper Yomiuri said Natsune's mother had died of illness two years earlier. Neighbors said Okada had been a very kind father who would often start his working day late to enjoy breakfast with his daughter.
His death came as families all over Japan celebrated Girls' Day, a festival in which they gather at home and decorate houses with dolls. "He booked a cake for his only daughter and was expecting to celebrate Dolls' Festival together, " a neighbor told the Yomiuri.

3 . On a bright morning on the warm sands of Hawaii, US, I made what could possibly be one of the unwisest choices of my life. I decided to follow in the footsteps of my friends... who were jumping off of a cliff (悬崖) – into water, of course.
It was over 30 feet (9 meters) high, extremely rocky and completely terrifying. There were only two ways to get up the cliff: either swim out in the ocean to an area where you could scale (攀登) a slippery sea wall that had crevices (裂缝) to grasp, or traverse (穿过) across sharp rocks to reach the point on the cliff where it was safe to take the leap of faith into the water. Both routes had their risks yet were also safe enough to use, so eventually, I chose the latter.
It was probably wiser to swim out to sea and climb up the wall, which, sadly, I learned too late. To my disappointment, crossing the rocks was much more difficult than I had originally thought. It took me a while to walk across the first stretch of rocks near the water, mostly because the rocks were damp due to waves crashing against them, and because there were huge insects that were crawling (爬行) across them. The rest of the time I was just focused on making sure I kept my footing. So far, no one had been injured by climbing or jumping off the rocks, so I was determined to get up there safely as well. Surprisingly, I did.
From afar, the spot that people were jumping off from looked like no big deal. It didn’t appear to be too high or too scary to leap from, but I was very wrong about that. It was surreal (离奇的) standing on top of the cliff and looking out at the ocean that lapped at the rocks below me. However, I wasn’t in the mood to stay standing at the edge of a cliff and thinking about my very poor life choices, so I decided to complete the inevitable (不可避免的) task as soon as I could. Without a second thought, I jumped off the cliff.
Time seemed to slow as I plummeted (骤降) down towards the sparkling blue sea. It was more terrifying than any roller coaster (过山车) I had ridden before, but also more fun. I hit the water with a painful “smack!” because I had landed wrong, but I loved it! I ended up deciding to give it another go.

Tom and his cousin took a boat trip. When they got on the boat, every passenger should answer a question raised by the keeper. If the passenger answered “yes", he or she got one gift. With a smile, Geib said the truck could go 120 miles per hour if needed.

Now the island has a new luxury resort Caerula Mar Club- which opened this February. With tourism opening up again, new plans are now for an October launch, but they're just taking things one day at a time. "I think at the end of this pandemic, well find many people are searching for a different experience，” says Bryan. "Instead of crowding into large resorts, they'll be going to properties where they can meet people, connect with the locals and experience nature. Our hotel is just such a place.”
Now the couple is focusing on the future while creating new development for visitors. “We certainly have plans to responsibly and sustainably develop the island that will help support the local economy says Bryan.
