Benjamin Lou is a computer scientist and advocate who was born with a rare genetic disorder     1     (call) spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), which affects the muscles used for moving the body. At the age of one, he became     2     (complete) paralyzed (瘫痪) from the chest down, making it difficult for him to breathe, feed himself, or move around without assistance. Despite these     3     (challenge), Benjamin beat the odds and entered Massachusetts Institute of Technology,     4     he earned a degree in computer science and artificial intelligence.

Zheng Chao, who grew up in Jiaoyao village, a high-altitude mountainous area with poor land, was raised by tea. His family, which has been growing tea     1     three generations, used to have trouble putting food on the table,     2     now he earns 70, 000 yuan a year just from selling tea.

In 2019, Kuang and seven other young people in the village set up a tea cooperative. An anxious 18-year-old Peng Lanxi got his     1     (admit) letter from Hunan University of Science and Technology on July 26, bringing his dream closer—making prosthetic limbs (假肢) more advanced and     2     (access) to people like him.

It was the summer of 1903. Two old and wealthy brothers, Roderick and Oliver, made a bet. Oliver believed that with a million pound bank note a man could survive a month in London. Dressed like a princess, Xiang Chenxi sets up her lights and camera and begins livestreaming. She greets her fans     1     a sweet, gentle voice just like any other livestreamer,     2     unlike others, Xiang is sitting in a wheelchair and has a breathing tube implanted (嵌入) in her throat.

“Hi, there! This is fairy Chenxi who loves handicrafts and life,” says the 30-year-old, her bright smile     3     (shine). Behind her     4     (be) shelves of clay figurines (泥人) that she has made. Xiang teaches people how to make such figurines through her livestreams.

Xiang was diagnosed at the age of 8 with a rare disease. She lost the ability to walk and     5     (reduce) to a wheelchair user. Meantime she began to make clay figurines while interacting with her audience.
