4 . Winter plunged Eastern Canada into a deep freeze. We sat at home, waiting for the COVID-19 cases to decrease and for the weather to _________. We all dreamed of what we would do when we could _________ go outside.

Each of us looked forward to something to keep us _________ the isolation: seeing friends, eating in restaurants, watching a movie at a cinema… My hope has quietly been gathering _________ in the garage since November. She is getting old, with more replacement parts than originals. But with all bike stores being low on new models, she is all I have.

On my bike, I’m _________, free from gas tanks or batteries; as long as I’m _________ and eating, I can _________ to the ends of Earth if I want. No obstacle is impassable. _________ roads mean nothing: there is a(n) _________ to weave between cars in traffic. This __________ of freedom means even more to me with the experience of lockdown.

Every few years I __________ a new ache or pain. I am starting to get __________. I can’t cycle as fast as I used to. But every time I encounter a hill, I don’t give up. If you can dream it, you can do it. I don’t know what your dream is. I don’t care how     1     (disappoint) it might be as you’re working toward that dream. But that dream that you’re holding in your mind is possible, though in     2     process of chasing your dreams, you are going to encounter a lot of pain.

There will be     3     (moment) when you are going to doubt     4     (you). You’ll say, “Why? Why is this happening to me? I’m just trying to take care of my children, and my mother. I’m not trying to steal or rob from anybody. How did this have to happen to me?” For those of you who     5     (experience) some hardships already—don’t give up on your dream. The rough times will come, but they will not stay, and they will come to pass.

Many of you fail     6     (seek) your purpose in life and you should have you dream and then follow it up with a list of all the reasons why the dream is not     7     (achieve). You fill your life     8     excuses and “I can’t.” The only true limits     9     you experience in life are those you create or those you allow others to impose upon you. If you can     10     (true) dream it, you can do it!
