Chinese medical teams not only save patients’ lives but also help train doctors and nurses. Africans are so thankful to the medical team members that they call the members “angels (天使) in white”.

With its 62-year non-stop medical help to Africa, China has helped ameliorate the health and happiness of Africans. As China and Africa work hard to build a community with a shared future, Chinese medical teams play an important role in making it.

In a primary school of Sichuan, kids are looking forward to cool hairstyles (发型) around a table.

Seven teachers set up a team and volunteer to cut hair for children in the school. Yang Cheng is one of them. He came to the school to be a volunteer teacher in September 2020.

“Most of the children live far from here, and they don’t go home until the weekend. It’s inconvenient (不方便) for them to have their hair cut,” said Yang. “I hope they can study and live here in a clean and beautiful way.”

“Some volunteer teachers didn’t know how to cut hair, so we just learned by ourselves from the online videos during our free time,” Yang said. “We even practiced cutting each other’s hair.” Finally, all of the teachers became good at cutting hair.

The teachers volunteer to cut hair every weekend in schools and villages. In this way, they can solve the kids’ haircut problems and help them have good hygiene (卫生) habits. “I like them very much, and I want to say thanks to them,” said a student.

The teachers also joined the “Loving Parents Team” to help those students who aren’t able to go home at weekends. They teach them how to wash clothes, so they can have a home-like feeling.
