A good memory helps one learn a language well. Everybody learns his own language when he is a small child. He hears the sounds, remembers them and then he learns to speak. In the US, yellow school buses are a common way for children to get to school. There are about 480,000 school buses in the country. But why are the school buses all yellow? Yellow became the color of school buses in 1939. American educator (教育家) Frank W. Cyr first suggested (建议) it. The color on the buses helped warn other cars: be careful. Black letters (字母) on a yellow bus are also easy to see in the early morning.

7 . Sharing means using what we have with others. One small action of sharing may change someone’s world. When we were children, we were too young to understand the true meaning of sharing. We thought only the rich were able to share. As time goes by, we get to know every person is unique (独一无二的). We all have something special. We can share not only our pocket money but also our personal feeling. For instance, we can share our positive altitude with those who are negative or upset. Encourage them to keep going by describing a bright future for them. Once we decide to share with others, we should take action at once. By doing this, we will get more and more pleasure.

Why are many students so easy to break down? Parents and schools are a main reason. Parents do almost everything for them in their daily life. while schools care more about their grades instead of developing their personality (个性).
Liu Yue, 13, is from Fujian. His mom hardly criticizes him and he always feels good about himself. When a teacher criticized him strictly, he felt surprised and sad. He began to doubt his ability.
Students should do something to make themselves mentally strong (意志坚强). An expert said, “When you are in trouble, don’t ask for help too quickly. You should try to deal with problems first by yourself. I also advise you to take an active part in sports and social activities. That can make you mentally strong.”
Growing up is not just a happy process. Pains also go along with it. The most important thing is to face the pains bravely and learn from them.

Trees are one of the oldest “citizens” (居民) of our Earth. They keep our air clean, reduce noise pollution, improve water quality and provide food and building materials (材料).
Just like us, trees change a lot as they grow. At 1 to 3 years old, young trees learn how to protect themselves. For example, many trees grow thorns (刺) to warn animals not to go near. Most young trees have large deep green leaves so that they can catch enough sunlight and change it into their food and energy.
When trees are 4 years old, they begin to grow very rapidly and become strong enough to face challenges (挑战) later in life. At the age of 15, trees become young adults. They grow more slowly and begin to produce flowers and fruit.
It is not until the tree is 20 to 25 years old that it becomes a real adult. The tree reaches its largest size. The adult tree gives us shade (树荫), oxygen (氧气) and natural beauty; it is also a great place for a tree house, or a place for us to read a book, listen to music and so on. If we give the adult tree proper care, it will go on to live healthily for many years.
Gradually, trees begin to grow older and older and even die. At this time, they still have their important place in nature. When a tree becomes hollow (空心的) or part of it becomes dead, it provides a home to small animals and is a source of food for many other animals.
In many ways, the life of a tree is similar to our own life experience. When we are looking at the life of a tree, we learn about that each period of life brings its own form of joy and challenge. Enjoy every minute of the life of the trees and take care of the trees!

The first China Hanfu Day was celebrated on April 18. There were catwalk shows which were held by people who wear traditional Chinese clothing. Hanfu fans from all over China gathered there to take photos and put them online for a Hanfu photo competition, which lasted until May 18.
China Hanfu Day is on the third day of the third month of the Chinese lunar calendar, which is said to be the birthday of the Yellow Emperor. In ancient China, this day was also called Shangsi Festival(上巳节). Its purpose is to encourage young Chinese to take pride in traditional clothing, as well as Chinese culture.
Hanfu is the traditional clothing of the Han people who lived in China before the Qing Dynasty. It has a history of about 3,000 years and it has changed greatly so far. However, some of its main characteristics remain. For example, there are two parts that overlap( 交叉) on the front, which is called “jiao ling”. Another main characteristic of Hanfu is that it usually uses ribbons (系带) instead of buttons.
