3 . Going to a movie now has been a part of our life. But have you ever thought of blind people watching movies?

64-year-old Wang Fokun lost his eyesight in his fifties. He had to give up his hobby of watching movies then. But in the past two years, a theater has helped him to get his love for the cinema back. Every Saturday, Wang travels 40 minutes to “watch” a movie.

It’s at Xindeng Theater in Kunming that Wang “watches” the movie. With the help of volunteers, Wang enjoys himself along with many other blind people. The volunteers describe what is happening on the screen, including when the story happens, what the actors or actresses look like, what they are doing…Thanks to the description, the blind can throw themselves into the movie. They laugh when something funny happens and cry during sad scenes.

The task of describing the movie is not as simple as it sounds. The volunteers must be familiar with every scene in the movie. “I watch a movie at least three times and write down every small part,” one of the volunteers said. And they have to practice many times before they do the job. However, they all enjoy the experience. “We’re glad to bring enjoyment to the audience (观众) by explaining the movie,” they said. 文章大意:本文主要讲述了无糖产品对健康的影响。
5 .

①Sugar-free cookies, reduced-sugar cereal, sugar-free candy, diet soda. Do these seem like healthier alternatives (替代物)? After sugar became something forbidden in the nutrition and fitness world, sugar-free products acted as alternatives for once beloved sweet drinks and snacks. Claiming to be ZERO sugar, they were believed as healthier choices, especially for those people who manage diabetics (糖尿病), or aim to slim down. But the truth is they aren’t equal to better.

②When a product is labeled sugar-free, it means artificial sweeteners are used instead of real sugar. Artificial sweeteners don’t come from natural sources but they are chemical substances that are added to food and drinks to make them sweeter. Actually, most artificial sweeteners are a lot sweeter than sugar, even 200—600 times sweeter, so only a tiny amount is needed.

③Let’s find out how artificial sweeteners work. They work similarly to regular sugar by exciting your taste buds. The taste buds send signals to the brain that they have tasted something sweet and you feel a similar sense as you would with sugar.

④In recent studies, scientists have revealed artificial sweeteners are more harmful to our body than real sugar. Many businesses market sugar-free alternatives as “low-calorie” or “no-calorie”. It misleads people to believe sugar-free products can make them slim and healthy. But it’s reported that you get no nutritional value from consuming them.

⑤What’s worse, when you eat this kind of sweet food, your body continues to desire it even though your body can’t metabolize (新陈代谢) these sugar-free alternatives. Your brain does not know the difference, either. In turn, sugar-free alternatives connect to weight gain and Type 2 diabetes.

⑥Similarly, artificial sweeteners also damage your gut’s ability to break down sugar which affects everything you eat. In other words, your body doesn’t know how to deal with artificial sweeteners because they have nothing real to process.

⑦Here’s a golden rule: stay away from artificial sweeteners and look for non-sugar, natural sweeteners like Stevia or date sugar. In the war against artificial sweeteners and real sugar, both lose. Satisfy your sweet tooth with natural sugars that come from fruits and stay away from products claiming to be sugar-free or diet!

1. What’s special about sugar-free products?
A.They don’t taste delicious.B.They are good for health.
C.They can make people excited.D.They contain artificial sweeteners.

C.It’s wise for people to refuse artificial sweeteners because they result in some health risks.
D.There is still a need for more scientific studies on sugary products whether they are safe or not.
4. What is the structure of the passage?
A.B.
C.D.

文章大意:本文主要讲述的是拖延的问题,并提出一些克服拖延症的建议。
8 . 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中一项为多余选项。

Looking at the undone homework on his desk always makes David feel uncomfortable. Often, David leaves his homework behind and surfs the Internet or watches TV instead, waiting until the last minute. “The longer I wait, the more I worry.” says David, aged 15.

Everyone procrastinates (拖延) because they want to feel good now.     1    . You can procrastinate on nearly anything, even enjoyable tasks such as planning a vacation. “Some people procrastinate cleaning. Some people procrastinate by cleaning,” says Professor Peter Stone. Research has shown that the top tasks that young people procrastinate are studying and going to bed. “The most important cause for procrastination is that people are afraid of failure, of not meeting others’ expectations (期待),” Stone adds.

2    . They think they could do things better. But researchers disagree. “I did a study several years ago, asking procrastinators to finish a task in a certain period of time,” says Stone. “They did worse than non-procrastinators (people who don’t procrastinate): they made more mistakes, and they took longer.     3    .” No matter what the cause is, procrastination is not going to be good for you. For example, bedtime procrastination can lead to sleeplessness, which in turn can cause many other health problems.

For those who need some drives to stop procrastinating, the best advice might be to take action first. If you’ve been procrastinating on exercise, just put on your walking shoes.     4    . Next, find something to help you remember to take action. If you want to go to bed at 10:30 p.m., you might set a timed dimmer switch (渐暗开关) at 10 p.m. When the lights are dimmer, you’ll start going to bed. It works for most people. Finally, reward yourself every time you make progress. For example, after you’ve run 3 km, enjoy your favorite ice-cream. But be careful: it won’t work the other way around.

A.A little bit of progress will get you moving.
B.Actually, they did better than before.
C.But they thought they did better.
D.Some people usually feel confident about procrastination.
E.The way to do that is to avoid the task.

Education is not just about going to school. It’s also about what you learn and experience outside of school. So family and community play a great role.

In January, 13 agencies (部门)—including the Ministry of Education—released a guideline to improve the school-family-community cooperative education mechanism (学校家庭社会协同育人机制). It clarifies the roles and responsibilities of school, family and community and how they work together to educate children.

“The goal of the guideline is to give full play to the advantages of each party and promote the all-round development of students.” Zhang Zhiyong, a professor at Beijing Normal University, told China Education Daily.

According to the guideline, schools play a leading role in cooperative education. They should keep close contact with parents. Paying a home visit and offering family education guidance regularly are made a must. Parents should play a role in family education. Besides traditional education, they are encouraged to lead their kids to take part in activities like volunteering and doing sports. The community is expected to provide support and service to students. All kinds of education bases and museums, for example, should be free or preferential (优惠的) to students.

Gao Wei, 43, a mother of a 14-year-old from Beijing, is excited about the guideline. “Strengthening (加强) the connection between the school and parents is not a new thing.
